I am having an absolute crisis; I can't access the site with my own user account in my desktop computer! I cannot access www.proboards.com there either. But I changed to the reserve user account, and now I can? Anyone who knows whats wrong? Trublu, where art thou!?

YES YES YES! I am IN!
I have not been able to access the board since this afternoon, and I have no idea why I can no idea why I couldn't, or why I all of a sudden can now. But I can, and that makes me do a happy dance. ;D
But Trublu, has the site been down, or something like that?

No, I was actually away until today. The problem you are describing sounds like your IP was for some reason blocked from the server. The issue usually resolves itself, though, as you have witnessed.

Now I am back in. What is going on, this is like...well, only the second time it has happened, but today I couldn't access with my iPod either, and that's got a different IP.

Could you describe the error message that you get, exactly? And how/where did you get access from to post your sos messages?

I borrowed my friend's computer, and posted from that. It just came a regular "The site cannot be displayed"...

Yes, or, at least proboards.com, didn't try the other one.

Is it still happening/ If not, you'll need to try it the next time you lose access. If it continues, I'll have to post over at support and see if Craig or Martyn (the main support admins) can figure out why your IP is being blocked. It only happens on its own when the server thinks that it's under an attack form an IP.

Finaddict is unable to access the proboards sites today and I found this on the support board:
We are currently experiencing a DOS attack on one of our DNS servers. You may experience some slowness on your forums at this time.
They said it is causing slowness on the boards but appears it is affecting everyone different.

That sucks.
It is just weird that it affects only some people each time.
