A teenager burned to death puts detectives Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) and John Munch (Richard Belzer) on the case, only to reveal a community in chaos...(guest star Jesse McCartney).

Let me say I was surprisingly impressed with Jesse McCartney. I'm not a fan of his, but his acting is pretty good. The last scene with him was very real to me.
ADA Greylek...omg! In the past I've been all, "give her a chance" and all that jazz. But after this episode...I'm glad she got attacked. She had it coming for a long time. Even after her attack she was sitll a hard a$$.oy vey!

The writers really could have used that situation to soften up Greylek a bit and warm up the audience to her, but another moment ruined.

I did not think it was possible, but I now love Kim even more. "Oh, I'm sorry, have you suddenly forgot how to read?" She's amazing. When she was attacked in court, and then suddenly gets this pissed off look, and goes "Go collar that b**** for assault!", I was like...wow. I love her. And the stun-gun comment... Priceless.
As for the episode, I enjoyed it. Ver nice, one of the best ones so far, in my opinion. Not a big fan of Jesse McCartney, but I think he was good. Glad to see some Munch, and I'm really grateful that Fin's bikini comment was not cast... It was painful to see Olivia carrying a purse, though. It's like she's slowly fading away right before my eyes.
And of course, Munch as the homeless guy. Too funny.

That Munch scene...loved it. I was like, ' don't hurt him!! no!!!'
Kim was alright, I guess, through out the episode, but when she was attacked...I thought she'd be at least slightly freaked out or at least a little, 'holy crap!' kinda thing. I mean, I would be.

If ya'll are interested to know about the story that inspired this episode: Teen Pregnancy Pact. Let me tell you. That story was huge when it broke around here! A couple of comments on the episode: 1. We're definitely back on track after that poor start to the season. Last night's episode was pretty good, though I would have rather seen them focus on the actual rapes themselves rather than go off on the tangent that they did. In the real story, none of the girls died, so that part was made up for the dramatic effect only. That could have been added, but perhaps as an end. 2. I really like Kim Greylek's character, even more so after this episode, despite the response to being attacked that I mentioned earlier. I appreciated that she wasn't much deterred by being choked, but still, some aftermath other than the swearing would have been nice. Do I have to go teach the writers about character development? 3. Munch as a homeless man. Funny story, I didn't realize in the first couple of seconds that they had sent him out, and when I saw a disheveled homeless/mentally ill man ranting on about conspiracies in the streets, I said (outloud): wow, that looks like Munch! Needless to say, I was correct.

I also loved Munch as the homeless man. Just seeing Munch so much again this season is good for me.
I still haven't warmed to Kim Greyleck yet. I took to Alex from the first minute. Casey took maybe 2 episodes. So far no positive feeling for the character of Kim Geylek for me.

Certainly not an earth shattering episode but I'll agree it was nice not to know the first 2 mins what happened and who did it. But to be honest I was not feeling well last night so my interest in actually watching was very low but I saved it to rewatch because I felt so exhausted I found myself not paying attention a few times.
I remember hearing about that story Tru...assuming the mom doing the cyber bullying came from the story about the mom who was charged for a similar crime not long ago.

It's odd that in Undercover they immediately realised it wasn't a suicide, but not this time. Shouldn't strangling leave different kind of marks than hanging.
I agree with the things said about Munch, it was hilarious.. ;D

I agree with the things said about Munch, it was hilarious.. ;D You're quite right. Strangling would have left different marks on account of the tool used to do it: hands. Warner has pointed out thumb imprints before... and one would think that bedsheets would leave a distinctly different mark than anything else as well. Though, if she was hanging long enough, perhaps the secondary marks took over the primary ones?
