Keck's Exclusives: Law & Order: SVU Adds a Mad Man and a True Blood BrotherSep 14, 2010 05:26 PM ET by William Keck www.tvguide.com/News/Kecks-Exclusives-Law-1023031.aspxWith both their shows on hiatus (True Blood's finale aired Sunday and Mad Men's season ender airs October 17), two actors have signed on to be victimized in a truly terrifying episode of NBC's Law & Order: SVU. Michael Gladis (whose Paul Kinsey has been MIA during Mad Men this season) and Kevin Alejandro (True Blood's Jesus) will play two of a trio of rape victims. "They have been branded and sodomized by someone," reveals executive producer Neal Baer, who says the show poses the questions, "is there a connection between these men, and what nut case is on the loose?" Suddenly the terrors of Bon Temps and the Sterling Cooper Draper Price ad agency don't seem so bad. This episode, the sixth of SVU's new season, also marks the debut of Melissa Sagemiller as the new assistant district attorney, taking the place of exiting Paula Patton. Talk about trial by fire...

Associate producer Mike Ciliento gives us a tour of the cozy new space. Video clip follows www.tvguide.com/News/Exclusive-SVU-Headquarters-1023420.aspx

www.tvguide.com/News/Jeremy-Irons-SVU-1026384.aspxSVU Scoop: Oscar Winner Jeremy Irons to Guest-StarDec 3, 2010 01:45 PM ET by Robyn Ross Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar and Tony Award-winner Jeremy Irons will guest-star on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU, TVGuide.com has learned. The 62-year-old actor will play Dr. Cap Jackson, a sex therapist who runs a sex addiction rehab clinic. The episode, titled "Mask," is scheduled to air in early 2011. "We're elated to work with an actor of Jeremy's caliber," executive producer Neal Baer says. "He brings depth, intelligence and charisma to all his varied roles and we couldn't be luckier to have him guest-star on SVU." Irons won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe in 1990 for his role in Reversal of Fortune. He won another Globe as well as an Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award for his 2005 performance in HBO's mini-series Elizabeth I. Irons is also set to star in the upcoming Showtime period drama, The Borgias. Irons plays Rodrigo Borgia, the patriarch of a corrupt, Renaissance-era Italian noble family who becomes Pope Alexander. Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC. www.tvguide.com/News/Cook-Criminal-Law-1026590.aspxKeck's Exclusives: Fired Criminal Minds Fave A.J. Cook To Guest on Law & Order: SVUDec 9, 2010 06:26 PM ET by William Keck If you were one of the nearly 55,000 fans to sign an on-line petition to get axed Criminal Minds actress A.J. Cook and her character, Jennifer Jareau, back on the CBS procedural, there's finally some good news for you. While the actress will not be returning to her former series, she has been hired by NBC to play opposite Jeremy Irons in a highly anticipated 2011 episode of Law & Order: SVU. SVU executive producer Neal Baer, who himself will be jumping from NBC to a lucrative new development deal at CBS following the completion of this season, tells me the episode should be a real treat for A.J.'s loyal fans. "A lot of people love A.J.," he says. "So we asked, 'How about coming and starring opposite Jeremy Irons?'" A.J. will play OBGYN Debbie Shields, the lesbian lover of the daughter of Jeremy Irons' character, Cap Jackson, a sex therapist who works at a rehab center. While A.J. was solving crimes on her previous show, her character this time will be the victim. Says Baer: "Her character is brutally attacked." Are you excited to see A.J. back on TV?

Exclusive: John Stamos to Guest-Star on Law & Order: SVUMar 3, 2011 11:00 PM ET by Kate Stanhope www.tvguide.com/News/John-Stamos-SVU-1030332.aspxJohn Stamos will guest-star on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, TVGuide.com has learned. No details are known yet about who he will play. Footloose star Lori Singer will also appear in the episode, tentatively scheduled to air in April. Stamos, 47, has been in the news recently as a possible replacement for Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men, even though he denied the report last week on his Twitter account. Sheen initially criticized the possible casting, but apologized to the Full House star. "I was out of line and you are a beautiful man, and a talented man and if you get the gig ... we should talk," he told reporters Wednesday. Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC. Are you excited to see Stamos on SVU?

www.tvguide.com/News/Kecks-Exclusives-Elizabeth-1030402.aspxKeck's Exclusives: Elizabeth Mitchell Turns Evil on SVUMar 7, 2011 07:16 AM ET by William Keck While her warrior-like V character is fighting to save her only child from evil lizards, Elizabeth Mitchell is also playing another role — one kiddies should fear. The beloved Lost alum guest stars on Law & Order: SVU on March 30 as June, a piano teacher accused of killing a little girl after raping her with a rolling pin. It's pretty heavy stuff, which caused the real-life mom to take pause. "I had certain things I was and wasn't willing to do — you never actually see anything," says Elizabeth, who played a different child killer on SVU back in 2003. "This is a hard one. You have to do your work, and then leave it behind before going home because it's absolutely toxic." Things were much breezier off set, where Elizabeth's 5-year-old, Christopher, made a new BFF in Mariska Hargitay's son, August, 4. Says Elizabeth, "They got to play and it was the sweetest thing I've ever seen."

John Stamos Dishes on his "SVU" Role insidetv.ew.com/2011/03/08/john-stamos-glee-bones-spoilers/Stamos is currently in New York filming a “dark” guest spot on SVU (scheduled to air in April or May) in which he plays a reproductive abuser with 47 children who “loves babies and loves procreating.” “It’s hard for them to pin him, but it’s abusive in that he’s poking holes in condoms and not letting women know that they’re in danger of getting pregnant. It’s a really fascinating, interesting, complex character that I don’t normally get to do. Usually for TV or TV movies, when they say, ‘Hey, this is a really good character,’ you’re going to get to play a drug addict or some sort of murderer. But this is a different, dark character,” he said. “Guys like me don’t normally get the juiciest roles because I think people think of me in a little lighter fashion.” Something tells me that won’t be the case after this role.

“Law & Order SVU” Will Do DSK-Hotel Maid French Rape Storywww.showbiz411.com/2011/07/20/law-order-svu-will-do-dsk-hotel-maid-french-rape-story“Law & Order: SVU” is taking on all the headlines this season. I can tell you exclusively that the show already has a script ready to shoot about the saga of former IMF leader Dominique Strauss-Kahn and his alleged rape of a New York hotel maid. The names will be changed but the details will be pretty easy to follow, according to sources. This news comes on the heels of a prior announcement that “SVU” will also do a show based on Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger. According to my “Law & Order” sources, the show will be doing a lot of these this season since “we’re the only Law & Order left on the air.” The show is also soldiering on without Chris Meloni, who couldn’t make a deal with Dick Wolf for another season. We’ll see how that works out. Mariska Hargitay made a last minute deal, B.D. Wong has left, and former DA’s played by Stephanie March and Diane Neal are returning. There are also new cast members. “It will be a different show,” says a source. Meloni, meantime, goes on to the new “Superman” movie. The good betting is he’ll be heading up his own TV series by fall 2012 or spring 2013.

Exclusive: Grey's Alum T.R. Knight Plots TV Return on Law & Order: SVUwww.tvguide.com/News/SVU-TR-Knight-1035879.aspxIn his first TV appearance since leaving Grey's Anatomy, T.R. Knight will guest-star on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU, TVGuide.com has learned. Knight, 38, will play a suspected serial rapist who consistently maintains his innocence despite overwhelming evidence. Knight is best known for his portrayal of Dr. George O'Malley on Grey's Anatomy, for which he earned an Emmy nomination in 2007. During his five-year tenure, Knight was involved in an on-set argument when co-star Isaiah Washington made comments insulting Knight's sexuality in 2006. Knight subsequently came out, and Washington exited the series in 2007. Knight followed in 2009, when he asked to leave the hit medical drama and his character was killed off. Since his time at Seattle Grace, Knight has starred in the Los Angeles production of the musical Parade and appeared on Broadway in the 2010 revival of David Mamet's A Life in the Theatre. Knight's episode is in production. No airdate has been set. The new season of Law & Order: SVU premieres Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10/9c on NBC. Kyle MacLachlan , who was in "Conscience" & Paige Turco, who was in "Ridicule" with Diane Neal will guest star in the "Schwarzenegger" episode. www.tvline.com/2011/07/law-order-svu-kyle-maclachlan/#more-233606SVU Scoop! Kyle MacLachlan, Paige Turco Cast in Schwarzenegger Scandal-Esque EpisodeKyle MacLachlan and Paige Turco have landed key roles in the Law & Order: SVU episode that will rip from the headlines and serve up a fictionalized riff on the Arnold Schwarzenegger/illegitimate child brouhaha. Specifically, Twin Peaks/Desperate Housewives alum MacLachlan will play Andrew Raines, a powerful politician whose family is embroiled in a headline-grabbing scandal. This marks MacLachlan’s second SVU visit, having previously guested in a 2004 episode in which he played a doctor who avenged his son’s death. And while I had earlier pitched that Sherilyn Fenn play the politico’s Mrs., I am just as happy to report that Paige Turco (The Agency, NYPD Blue) instead has been cast as the “charming, charismatic and fiercely protective” Kathleen Raines. SVU — which has been making headlines of its own, with numerous cast changes — will unleash its 13th season on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 10/9c.

www.tvguide.com/News/SVU-DSK-Nero-1036309.aspxExclusive: International Film Star Takes on Dominique Strauss-Kahn for Law & Order: SVU
Aug 11, 2011 02:52 PM ET by Kate Stanhope Franco Nero will guest-star in the Law & Order: SVU season premiere as an Italian dignitary accused of rape, evoking the Dominique Strauss-Kahn arrest, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. A source close to the show told TVGuide.com that the episode was inspired by the DSK case. (But a spokesperson for Wolf Films wants us to be sure to mention that the show is entirely fictional.) The case also may be the first for the new detectives, played by Danny Pino and Kelli Giddish, who will be introduced this season. Strauss-Kahn, who was head of the International Monetary Fund and considered the front-runner in the French presidential election, was accused of sexually assaulting a maid at a midtown Manhattan hotel in May. He pleaded not guilty to all charges, although he quit his IMF post, and his candidacy was derailed. Subsequently, the case has been shaken as prosecutors said his accuser admitted to lying to a grand jury about events surrounding the attack. The 69-year-old Nero — who was discovered by legendary filmmaker John Huston — is best known for the '60s spaghetti Western Django, 1990's Die Hard 2, (as the villainous Gen. Esperanza) and the 1967 adaptation of the musical Camelot, on which he met future wife Vanessa Redgrave. The two co-starred together last year in Letters to Juliet. Besides Nero, other guest stars on deck for SVU's new season include Kyle MacLachlan, T.R. Knight and Law & Order vet Linus Roache, who will reprise his role as Michael Cutter in the season opener. Law & Order: SVU returns Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10/9c on NBC.
