Today (August 2), Isabel Gillies's second memoir A Year and Six Seconds was released. It's a follow up to her first book Happens Every Day where she only mentioned SVU in a small paragraph. In this book, it's a good 4 pages plus another little paragraph near the end where she mentioned her little technique she does to snap out of her character (she mentioned Mariska in the small paragraph) but in the 4 pages, she did mention Chris a lot of times. Isabel came back to New York during her separation/divorce from her first marriage, calling her agent to get her career back on track. She returned to SVU for a small scene for the confirmation (Schererezade) and again to ask her TV husband (she kept referring Chris as that, it's sweet, she does the same on Twitter too) why he hadn't signed the divorce papers yet (Clock). She lay down in the middle of the squad room trying to get herself together for the scene inspired by her personal turmoil and after she finished her scene, the director and producer applauded and Chris squeezed her arm and winked. Isabel also told the story how she drove Chris nuts by not getting the line right and he had to keep eating chicken! I haven't read the book completely yet, only did some random pages and found the SVU mentions. www.amazon.com/Year-Six-Seconds-Love-Story/dp/1401341624

Isabel appeared on the Gayle King Show today to talk about her new book and at the final minutes, Gayle asked her about Christopher's departure on SVU www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLtHYpuIu0w
