Wow! That was a great episode! I loved having Alex back and I loved seeing the interaction between her and all the regulars... especially her and Casey because I it was like watching the original oficially pass down the torch.

I'm in the minority here, but I was disappointed. NBC and the media built this one up so much, and Alex was barely in it.
The case itself was good, but it did not live up to the excellent "Loss." In fact, it wasn't even close. Even if "Loss" hadn't had the whole Alex is dead - no, just kidding, "Loss" still would have been more powerful with a much bigger impact. Taken out of the context of "Loss," this one was okay. I felt really bad for the boy who had to testify. The horror that he saw, and then to have to face the man who caused it - wow, that's a lot for an eight year old. I wasn't sure how Benson and Stabler were going to get out of the purgery thing, but I didn't know what else they should have done. They were in a tight spot.
It was nice to see Alex again, but she was only in like the last fifteen minutes. I wish she had stopped by at the end during the party to say goodbye - major disappointment that she didn't. This part just left me with a big "huh??" At first, I thought the DEA Agent was coming to tell them that she was dead. I'm glad they didn't go that way. The ads made this ep look like it was going to center around Alex's return and it didn't.
Overall, a good episode, but disappointing (for me) as well.

Hey, did anyone else notice that there was a more than average--for Season 6, NOT for the glorious Season 5--amount of Casey in "Ghost"? I just LOVED the way she was quick on her feet before the judge, first in getting that indictment for Alex's murder, and then for saving Liv and Elliot's butts when the defense guy tried to have them jailed for contempt, or something. I also loved they way she tore a strip off Liv and Elliot for not cluing her in a/b Alex. I got the feeling she was partly upset b/c of the implications for the case and partly upset b/c she was hurt that Liv and Elliot didn't trust her enough to tell a/b Alex. She also handled that little boy very well--full circle from the pushy Casey during the ill-advised lineup in "Serendipity." And the interaction b/w her and Alex. Casey showed true professionalism and understanding when Alex snapped at her. Plus, the interchange b/w her and Elliot at the end--well, that was like the cherry on top of the sundae--so, sweet, so beautiful to watch. ;D As you can tell, I am a big-time Casey/Diane Neal fan. I hope they show this amount of her in the rest of this eason's eps!

I know! I kept looking at my watch thinking....WHEN is she going to be on??? I really liked the episode but I really wish it had more of her in it! I was dying to see it and she was only in the last half! Oh well, God what a depressing life she must have to live and then she had to go into Wittness Protection AGAIN and loose her whole life AGAIN. At the end I was like NOOOOOOOO I'm in the minority here, but I was disappointed. NBC and the media built this one up so much, and Alex was barely in it. The case itself was good, but it did not live up to the excellent "Loss." In fact, it wasn't even close. "Ghost" was an excellent episode. I Tivo'd it and watched over and over for hours . Having Alex back, even for only the second half of the show, was wonderful. So they sent her to Wisconsin. The middle of nowhere for a New York girl. I noticed that when we saw her for the first time, she was still very careful about even looking out the window, and she mentioned that she was scared that every person she saw was someone from the cartel come to finish her off. But then we saw another side to her, one that was determined to come out of hiding and put one more low-life into jail. She also said that she couldnt stop thinking like a prosecutor. I guess old habits die hard. It looked like it hit her hard not being able to work with the squad anymore. And then after she came back and was able to be involved again, she couldnt even say good-bye, she had to be whisked away to a new location, which must have been a double whammy, since she was at least half way adjusting. She even had a boyfriend. Loved the way she interacted with all the different characters. She was really open with Olivia, talking in the apartment room (i think it was an apartment room anywhays). Then later, with Casey, i thought their conversation was very interesting to watch. Casey looked slightly insulted by Alex's comments, but i think she understood were they were coming from as well. Seeing Alex again was great. I hope Stephanie March decides to come back for another episode!

Oh man...I saw this episode for the second time last night and it made me realize how much better an ADA Alex is rather than Casey. I mean she "can't stop thinking like a prosecutor" and even from the other side of the bench she knows how to unravel a perp's defense. THAT'S ONLY MY OPINION THOUGH! Casey's doing a great job at SVU. But I really miss my Alex! And we don't even get to say a proper goodbye at the end of "Ghost" which just makes me even more depressed! lol

I know. This episode flusters me because the ending is so...ending without really ending. I know that doesn't sound like it makes since but it just does.
