I wasn't to crazy about last nights ep. It was better than I thought it was gonna be, but still not that good. Its wierd without Olivia. We need Benson back. (lol) I didn't really like the new girl, she got on my nerves and I dont know why. (maybe its me lol)

Great review Munchkin, I didnt like the Episode as an SVU episode. If this were someother show I would have felt differently if that makes sense. This isn't the SVU I came to know and love.

Good review Trublu. Your take on this episode gave me a different perspective on an episode I felt didn't feel like SVU.
I quess my opinion of the episode is somewhere in between your review and Munchkin's.

Overall, it dragged. I hate it when episodes do that. The ending was sweet though. At least that old lady can spend the rest of her life in peace.

This episode was okay. I've seen better. I really don't know how I feel about Dani. I think it's gonna take some time for me to get used to her.

Yes, she defintely can spend the rest of her life in peace. Leslie Caron did a wonderful job in that part. She always had much charm and grace and age hasn't changed that

I agree it could take many of us a while to get used to her. I felt the episode didn't feel like SVU for that fact I didn't like it. But if it were some other show it would have been okay. **Finaddict is going off the deep end here**

I saw this ep yesterday, but it was really late, so I goes sleep after. I saw it again - today ;D IMO Dani is just awesome detective! She's really smart, nice and funny sometimes. I was in shock when she was talking in French with that woman who was this guy's first victim (or something like that). when she was talking about her husband I was a little sad. it must be horrible to lost somebody who you love so much. Dani IS great and I really like her. She and Elliot looks nice together, but my shipper is still the same: E/O anyway, if they [D/E] will be together, it would be not the end of the world so... it doesn't metter right now. 8x03 was Casey's epsiode - AT LAST!!! ;D she was just great in the court! it was VERY nice to see her in action again.

She fitted that role perfectly. You know, if Neilson can speak French, I wonder if she speaks French to Belz. I know Mariska speaks French too, but to Belz, I do not know of.

I'm willing to bet Belz speakes a bit of French, especially since he lives in France. Maybe they'll have them do a little exchange? They should have had Munch translate what Beck and Lorriane were saying.

They could make it five...make him the languist of the group.

That would be great if he could translate for the Squad. they have done enough Russian Mob stuff that could have used Munch way more than it did. Wake up writers Munch/Belz is brilliant

NBC's recap of the episode is now included in the first post. I can see I'm going to have a beef with whomever writes these recaps as well (I had some major issues with "Conviction" recaps.) Meanwhile, the defense had called to the stand a doctor who claimed that it was quite possible that Heather thought she was raped years ago, but in fact she wasn’t. She said that it was possible that Heather’s attack occurred only in her head and she’d accused Trenway when she saw him on the front page of the papers. Novak had proven to the doctor that it was still possible that Heather was raped and that it couldn’t have been just psychological. Ok, so if you had watched the episode, Recap Writer, you would be able to write what actually happened. The doctor was not put on the stand to prove that Heather's rape never took place. The doctor's only purpose was to prove that Heather only accused Martin Trenway because she saw his picture in the paper. There was never any doubt that a rape had occured at all. True, but the important part was not that the statute of limitations had expired. Casey and the squad knew that already. The important piece of info was that Lorraine's story couldn't be corroborated because there was no witness or evidence, which then brought around the next part; Lorraine describing the box and Elliot finding it in the basement.
