Great episode!
But wasn't anyone else bothered the accient scenes? the way olivia put in the IV made me flinch, because it'd hurt like hell if someone would try to stuck a needle in your arm in that ankle!

Getting an IV in is like a flu shot; it hurts a little bit just when the needle go though, but after that it is not painful.

Pain in asserting an IV is all about who puts it in. Some can do it well some can't.

i didn't excatly paid attention to the pain thing, just that 45 degree angle of the needle when she was trying to find a vein. I once lived through a true story where a nurse couldn find the vein and twisted the needle, causing it go through the vein. ...It somewhat hurt at the nex morning..

I used to be hospitalized for my asthma all the time as a kid. After my first IV, I learned to get a nurse or refuse to get one otherwise.

Well Kathy was in a lot of pain- her legs were trapped from the car board, she was in labor and she could hardly move! Poor thing. I really do think that this was the episode where the character of Kathy has gotten respect (at least SOME from the EO shippers, at least) especially since in the past, her appearances were blink-or-miss her type of time. I was really rooting for an Emmy nod for Isabel's performance in Paternity, at least in the Special Guest Performance category with Cynthia Nixon but she was sadly overlooked I think what bothered me the most though, was that here they were having a baby and around their house there was nothing! Okay, granted we didn't see the living room, kitchen, or maybe a nursery being set up but I would at least expect to see a bassinet near the bed to be ready for use- I'm not a mother but I do know that it's a general thing to do to have the baby close by while a newborn for a few months. Even in Blinded where we saw Elliot's living room there was no evidence.

They probably figured that all of their viewers are of course blissfully ignorant of any technical aspect of the show, and therefore wouldn't notice something like a lack of baby items. Of course, they've also never met anyone on this board, and apparently don't realize that they have some intelligent viewers who notice when they leave out things like this. Whadda ya know.

I agree with you both mad4svu and Trublu. Kathy did finally get respect in this episode and I thought it showed the depth of feeling between Liv and Kathy. The lack of baby equipment was puzzling and Trublu has it right when she says we have intelligent member here on this board. We view this show from many different opinions and don't miss much.

Mad4svu I totally agree with you. I really enjoyed Isabel's performance in Paternity. I really got to see a different side to her acting. Now she is far from my favorite person on the show but I think she did a great job.
