Ausiello is moving on! He is moving to ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY!. Thanks to melonibabe 01 at svufans.net. community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Todays-News/Michael-Ausiello-Exits/800040484 Exclusive: Michael Ausiello Is Moving On! The great philosopher Sheryl Crow once said sang, "A change will do you good." And I sure hope she knew what she was talking about, because I'm standing on the precipice of a doozy. After eight fraktastic years with TV Guide — the best of my career — I've made the toughest decision of my life: To move on to new challenges at Entertainment Weekly. No tears, please. (I'm sure Elisabeth Rohm has shed enough for all of us.) TVGuide.com and TV Guide magazine will be fine without me. Great, in fact. I'm leaving behind so many voracious scoophounds that you may not even realize I'm gone. (Plus, the office's monthly diet Snapple bill is sure to go down substantially.) Before I go, though, I wanted to express my unsmurfing gratitude to you guys, for the hundred million things you've been moved to ask Ausiello. It's because of you and our shared obsession with the tube that I am lucky enough to do for a living what you can only wish you got to I love the most. Sincerely — thanks for the memories, Ausholes, and here's to many more.

thanks for the update on this. I wonder if he will do spoilers for them. I don't remember that being part of Entertainment Weekly's line-up though.

The answer to "our" burning question re Ausiello has been answered. His feature on ET is "The Ausiello Files." Here is his first SVU "scoop." ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/07/casting-scoops.htmlJuly 10, 2008 James Striesand Brolin is headed to Law & Order: SVU, where he’ll play an ex-military man with a connection to Chris Meloni’s Stabler in the show’s season premiere. The episode will also feature Chris Elliott as a stalkerish-looking dude who’s accused of being — OMFG! — a stalker.

Luke Perry, Sara Gilbert, & Julie Bowen in Season 10 Premiere of SVU. ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/07/luke-perry-juli.html Exclusive: Perry, Bowen, Gilbert Summoned to 'SVU' Jul 29, 2008, 10:27 AM | by Michael Ausiello You know what they say: Where there's smoke, there's usually a red-hot casting scoop. There I was, enjoying a late-night dinner Sunday on New York's Upper West Side when who, pray tell, should walk by but Dylan McKay himself — Luke Perry! I quickly asked myself, "Self: What's Luke Perry doing in the Big Apple?" A few phone calls, two picked locks and one well-placed bribe later, I got my answer: He's in town shooting an episode of Law & Order: SVU. And not just any episode: Perry's appearing in the hit procedural's Sept. 23 season premiere, an hour that also features guest turns by Sara Gilbert (Roseanne, ER) and Julie Bowen (Lost, Boston Legal, Ed). According to sources, the plot revolves around a couple (Perry and Bowen) that stands accused of abusing their foster child. Gilbert plays the boy's biological mother. The episode also marks the debut of SVU's new ADA, played by One Tree Hill knockout Michaela McManus, and deals with the repercussions of Benson's attempted rape, and answers some lingering questions surrounding the possible transfer of Ice-T's Fin. Bottom line: This episode is going to be smokin'!

Yes, I hope this new ADA perhaps can be there for Liv and help her...

Well it sounds like it will at least be an SVU case type storyline. I also want to know what happens to Fin and Munch (if they are partners again.) Thanks for the update.

July 29th, 2008 ausiellofiles.ew.com/2008/07/ask-ausiello--2.html#moreQuestion: Law & Order: SVU scoop please? — Samantha Ausiello: I think what you meant to ask was, "Is this the season Benson and Stabler will finally go there?" Because that's the question I posed to executive producer Neal Baer yesterday, and behold his titillating answer. "In the first eight episodes, circumstances put them in a very interesting place," he hinted. Where might this, um, place be located? "Somewhere without clothes." OMG, they're shooting a scene in Annie Barrett's cubicle?! OH, BROTHER! Shame on you Neal Baer! _________________

If they go the E/O route, I am done. It will ruin the show and the partnership.

OOPS, first time I tried to respond to your post , I hit modify not guote...DUH I understand. I have no objection in who people want to ship with whom. My problem is the reality of 2 partners becoming an item. It would never work in an actual police squad, IMO. I feel that if Baer and Wolf cave in to the E/O shippers, they owe an apology to every other ship out there.

Well, I think that if we put on our glasses of objectivity, most of us would agree that they shouldn't cave in to any shippers. I know for sure that if anything happened with Elliot and Liv, I'd be so pissed thay I would never watch any L&O again.
And vice versa, I don't think E/O shippers would be too happy if they saw Liv in bed with Alex.

I guess I just want this show to return to it's original format.
