She is having a boy and I will miss her also but it said on her website a special guest star will fill in for her. Uh oh. BETTER not be that latino girl who was helping Elliot that one time. I didn't really like her.

YES! Actually I read an interesting message on a SVU yahoo group I'm a member of that said the following: Question: I heard Marcia Gay Harden will be reprising her role on Law & Order: SVU. Do you know when and for how long? — Rana Ausiello: I'm 90 percent certain that she's coming back for at least one more episode, but I'm not at liberty to discuss the circumstances or timing of her return — except to say that it's big. Really big. Huge, in fact. So maybe, just maybe she might be that mysterious gest star they're refering to!! :dntknw:

Well, she is definitely returning. Whether or not she is that mysterious guess star is still up for debate, but this from Mariska's blog confirms that she will indeed be re-joining us at least one more time. 01/21/06: "See you at the SAG awards next week. Keep your fingers and toes crossed! (Interesting tidbit: this week our guest star is the amazingly talented Marcia Gay Harden. The first time we met was at the SAG awards two years ago and we became really good friends.)" www.mariska.com/blog/

yeah that episode was BAD. I think its going to be Marcia Gay Harden If it's going to be her, then I guess it's okay then. I just hope they don't make all the episodes with her and Elliot as the main characters. Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be a teeter-totter ride? I still think Munch and her make a great team. She should be partnered with Munch and Fin, but that's just me. ;D

Hang on who was she again? (Braindead morning) She was that FBI agent undercover in a cult that expressed racism and such. Remember how she couldn't say her name on the stand because she would have perjure herself? That's her.

Here is another article talking about Mariska pregnancy and her replacement during her maternity leave! You need to be registered to read the article form the source but the transcript is just below. www.nypost.com/entertainment/60918.htmCOVER ME By MICHAEL STARR January 25, 2006 -- ‘LAW & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay, who’s expecting her first child, a boy, will take some time off from the show after the birth. "SVU" producers have decided not to make Hargitay’s character, Det. Olivia Benson, pregnant — but are still trying to figure out how to explain her absence on the NBC show. Hargitay is due in the spring. It appears another actress will fill in for her much the same way "Law & Order" temporarily replaced Jesse Martin, who took time off to film "Rent," with "Sopranos" star Michael Imperioli. Hargitay, 42, is married to actor Peter Hermann. Hargitay, writing in her online blog, explained the situation. "Not sure if you’ve heard, but the producers have decided not to make Olivia pregnant, so I won’t be in a few episodes," she wrote in a recent entry. "But don’t worry, the writers are working on some really great storylines, and there will be a special guest star filling in for me." Just who that special guest star will be still remains a mystery. Marcia Gay Harden, who guest-starred on a past "SVU" episode as an FBI agent, won’t get the job, as had been rumored recently — but she’ll likely return for an upcoming episode, a show spokeswoman said. Hargitay, the daughter of Jayne Mansfield and Mickey Hargitay, has played Benson on "SVU" since the show launched in 1999 as the second of Dick Wolf’s "L&O" shows (the original "Law & Order" premiered in 1990)

Oh greeeeaaaaattt. This is just brilliant. Now I have to worry that they'll find someone lame and pair that person with Elliot and then we would be tortured to watch this lame person all the time with Elliot until the season finale. ... ... ... I WANTED MARCIA GAY HARDEN!!! :crying:   :curse: :veryangry: :angryfire: :violin: :sadwalk: :disappoint:
