My stupid contacts irritated my eyes and now they're red.

I hate my contacts some times. They're fantastic one minute, and suddenly their making your eyes itch like no tomorrow. I wear eyeliner every day, so I can't scratch without smudging.

I have a love/hate relationship with contacts. ..When I first got them in 1965 they were hard plastic and ya could take them out spit on them and put them back in when they got dry. ..Then I gave them up when my kids were little. Hard plastic and no sleep don't mix. Then I went back when they came out with the ones you could wear for 30 days straight. Then came the eye infection for doing that and it was back to glasses. Tried again with the soft lenses in 2000-2004 but then I needed glasses to read. DUH. Now I just wear glasses. It is easier. ;D

They had them in 1965? I don't think I could ever wear them. I only need glasses to drive so thank goodness I don't have to try them For the record I can't wear eyeliner either, I end up forgetting about it and having a black eye

I used to wear contacts, but after a series of traumatic experiences I sent them packing. I only wear glasses now.

That was the year I graduated from high school and my first job was at an ophthalmologist's. They gave me free contacts and I wore them for awhile but could not tolerate them. I never wore contacts after that and I actually like wearing glasses. Probably because I have worn them for most of my life. I had eye muscle surgery on both eyes when I was 9 & 10 and have worn glasses ever since.

We both graduated from high school in 1965 and know contacts, hard as they were, were available in the stone age. . I have worn glasses since the 4th grade (9-10) age group. ;D ;D
