I hate it that Diane Neal left the show. I loved her as ADA Novak. Her and Stephanie March were the best ADA's on tv. I hope that Diane will come back for a guest appearance like Stephanie March did in Season 6. Has anyone heard or read anything about a possible Diane Neal guest appearance?

Right Ive been doing some research, "Diane spent five years on SVU and was a tremendous addition to the SVU team. She is looking forward to new opportunities and she will be missed," a spokesperson for Law & Order: SVU confirmed. Neal first appeared in the third season of Law & Order: SVU in the episode “Ridicule” as high-powered rapist Amelia Chase before joining the main ensemble as their Assistant District Attorney (ADA), consequently replacing Stephanie March. Neal makes her final appearance in next month's season finale of Law & Order: SVU but unlike other previously departed cast members, reprising her character doesn't seem to be an option as the search for a new ADA is already under way. www.buddytv.com/articles/law-and-order-svu/diane-neal-quits-law-order-svu-18671.aspx

I doubt that Diane Neal will come back. This is Wolf and Baer's big loss. This show is sadly going in a direction I haven't like for almost 3 seasons. I started with the show in 1999.

There wasn't much room for returning with the "get out, do something else" order that Donnelly gave. I'm very sad about her exit, though. I can't wait to see what Diane moves on to so I can be a following fangirl.

That is what I hear also. Waiting for more info.
I had heard of rumors of Munch and a movie before but I hadn't heard of Casey being in it.
New information about this movie and Casey being in it was from the Dianeneal.hostbus.com site.
I should have mentioned that.

It's also said to star the Belz, Ice-T, and Dann Florek. So basically, the SVU that is no more. ;D

Well I'll be one to see the movie!! I watched a few with Diane Neal in today and it made me so mad that they practically threw her over-board. Grrrrrr I swear one day, I'm just gonna own it all, then we can decide what happens (Yeah in my dreams!)! ;D

Bananabeth, lots of us wish we owned this show, then we could return it to its glory days.

Yeah, well maybe we should. Am I the only one who prefers the early seasons. So many good points. 1. Consistency 2. Quite simple but understandable story lines. 3. Olivia with short hair. 4. Sure the plot lines are more ambitious now but it's a lot different to what it was. I personally love the earlier seasons, particularly season three.
I concur that we could restore it to it's past amazingness!!

I just recently started watching SVU and I watched the old episodes. I miss Diane Neal. I loved her. She was amazing. I think that if they have any opportunity to bring her back, they should. I am mad that they keep getting rid of their ADAs, granted some of them left, but still.
