I was just about to post this; I'm curious that there are two different angles that seem to be going on here: In this article from US Magazine, they apparently have her rep's comment that the discomfort was related only to the previous injury, not due to her lung collapsing again.

Maybe she's back to doing to many things at one time.

Here's the latest. Pretty much the same. www.tvguide.com/News/Mariska-Hargitay-Hospitalized-1003672.aspxLaw & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay has been hospitalized for the third time in as many months. "She is undergoing routine tests and expects to be feeling better soon," a spokesperson for the NBC series told TVGuide.com in a statement. Hargitay went to the hospital Wednesday morning after experiencing some discomfort relating to a pneumothorax — or collapsed lung — she suffered in January. While the SVU shooting schedule has been shuffled to accommodate Hargitay's absence, a source on the set indicates that production will not be affected. This is confusing. First reports stated she complained of chest pains on the set and that she was hospitalized Tuesday night. Here is the first report from TMZ: www.tmz.com/2009/03/04/mariska-hargitay-hospitalized-againMariska Hargitay was rushed to a hospital in New York last night after suffering chest pains. This is the third time Hargitay has been hospitalized since December -- the previous two times were for a collapsed lung. We're told Mariska complained of chest pains while on the set of "Law & Order: SVU," but was taken to the hospital after filming. " ETA: Here is an interesting update: radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/03/new-details-on-mariska-hargitays-hospitalization.phpNew Details on Mariska Hargitay's Hospitalization While production of Law & Order: SVU is expected to continue unaffected by star Mariska Hargitay's recent hospitalization, a set source shares with RadarOnline.com how the show regrouped after her departure. At the location at W. 113th Street in Harlem, Hargitay was scheduled to film three scenes on Wednesday but was rushed to the hospital that morning. The show writer frantically rewrote the script to give her lines to Ice-T who plays Detective Fin Tutoalo. "They managed to stay on schedule today thanks to Ice-T taking her lines," says the source. "But they're going to have to begin major re-writing in the script if she's out for more than another day or two!" Her rep confirms that Hargitay is currently "undergoing routine tests and expects to be feeling better soon."

I am hoping they can figure out exactly what is wrong. I worried that she had returned to work too soon. My thoughts are with her and her family.

I hope Mariska feels better soon. I have to admit that I'm relieved that the shootings won't be affected though, especially since we are heading toward the return of the almighty Glasses of Justice!

I may be in the minority with this but I don't think it was smart to let Mariska be in ALL the remaining episodes of this season. She really needs to focus on her number 1 priority: her health. I would rather her resting and let SVU miss an episode with her rather then being at risk. Sure recent pictures had her healthy but still, I would rather survive a non-Olivia episode knowing she's taking care of herself then having her take risks.

I agree with you mad...I too would rather have her miss a few episodes and focus on her health too then to put her at risk for more serious problems. btw, I hope she gets better ASAP.

I hope she'll be fine again soon. I guess she should take it easy for a while until she's fully recovered.

I don't think you are in the minority, MAD. I would much rather miss a few episodes. Her health is much more important. I just read on the filming locations website that they may film this weekend or cancel filming due to Mariska's hospitalization. www.onlocationvacations.com/index.php?s=svuSVU was scheduled to be at the United Nations building tomorrow, March 7th but filming may be rescheduled for March 8th or possibly cancelled due to Mariska Hargitay being hospitalized.
