Mariska will testify on Thurs. May 20th. Thanks to Whitney at svufans.net www.rollcall.com/news/46398-1.htmlHOH’s One-Minute Recess: The Long Arm of the Law Just a little over a month after visiting the Hill to ask Members to hold a hearing on the backlog of untested rape kits, the “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” star will return Thursday to testify about the issue before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security. HOH caught up with Hargitay on Tuesday when she appeared at the Newseum for the premiere of the documentary “Telling Amy’s Story,” about a woman shot and killed by her husband after a history of abuse. Hargitay said she’ll testify on behalf of her Joyful Heart Foundation, which she founded in 2004 to empower sexual assault victims. “It feels very, very good,” Hargitay said. “The reason we were here last time was to push for a hearing. We got it.” So is she excited about her first-ever time speaking at a Congressional hearing? Nervous? “E, all of the above,” she joked.
