Well the way I feel now I will be dragged from Wolf's office kicking and screaming and foaming at the mouth. Oh no wait..thats not me its Elliot Where's that damn tranq gun? Let's hope Fin gets his episode this season, specifically with Ludacris. Not make it least-charcter biased season, like last year. 2 Fin episodes. While I'm not complaining because it was Fin, WTF was Munch's?

I watched SVU last night on USA and it had such good episodes on. Showed everyone working together and lots of Cragen and Alex. I believe it was Season 2. I am afraid that to see everyone in the right place we will have to watch seasons 2-5 which I think were the best. even tho' I liked season 1 also

Hey Just found out Ice will be on Regis's show tommorrow morning. I got that info on the JohnMunchLennieBriscoeOdafinTutuola Yahoo Group. I wish I wasn't working so I could see it. I taped it. He basically he was promoting his new show and I think his album, but it was a cool interview. I got this in my Yahoo e-mail alert. This article is from Vh1.com: He hosted our Hip Hop Honors show, he's got a new disc called Gangsta Rap, and he's trying to teach some upper crust kids how to get down on the new Rap School. Ice-T is always in action. The outspoken MC took a sec to talk about why he doesn't dig "invincible" rappers, why Cypress Hill is like angel dust, how Martha Stewart became O.G. Check his list of faves.
Wu-Tang Clan "Protect Ya Neck" I'm a huge Wu-Tang fan. Being a rapper myself, and seeing nine rappers on stage? It f*cked me up. I was not ready for nine rappers that could really, really rap. It's a very dangerous scenario when you hear all them guys go. There were no weak links, and everyone had their own style. And one of the fun things to do if you're really a Wu-Tang fan is to listen to the records and name the rapper based on his style. When you hear him come on the song, it's like ... "OK, that's Genius ... That's Inspectah Deck right there ... That's Mastah Killah ... That's U-God ..." The ability to know their styles? That's what makes you a real Wu-Tang fan.
Ghostface Killah "Whip You With a Strap" Fishscale was the last hip-hop album I actually went out and bought. I love new hip-hop and stuff, but I'm really a lyricist. I like rappers that have a lot to say.
Eric B. & Rakim "Eric B. Is President" This could be my favorite hip-hop song of all time. When I made my first album, I was in New York and I used to go shopping in Harlem, where every car was playing the same song. Every corner I would walk by "Eric B. Is President" would be playing. It took over the whole city. Now there's so much rap around that it's impossible for one record to do that. But at that time, it was the essence. It had a James Brown breakbeat - just so funky and so cool. It wasn't yelling; it was just laid back. It was like, "This is what hip-hop is right here."
N.W.A. "Straight Outta Compton" This was like a metal record. When they came on and Dre looped that sample, it was like, "Yo! What the f**k is that?" The record felt like somebody was driving over you. And they kept the intensity up - it was so loud and so wild. I was out there doing the gangsta stuff, but this song just took it to another level. This scared the s**t out of everybody. I think this was the one song that put the most movement behind the West Coast stuff. When N.W.A. came out that was like, "Bam, motherf**ker! This is what the f**k this is!"
Mobb Deep "Shook Ones, Pt. 2" When it comes to gangsta rap, I like [to hear a little] vulnerability. I like the gangsta rappers that say, "Hey, I don't really know what I'm doing right now; I don't know why I'm doing this. I'm dealing with issues." I don't like the invincible s**t. So to me, the best gangsta rappers of all time are Mobb Deep. The Infamous, Murder Muzik ... it's just that monotone, dead-serious, it-can-happen s**t.
Cypress Hill "I Could Just Kill a Man" Insane. B Real's delivery and the way that they rhymed it? It was kinda like gangsta rap on angel dust. One time tried to come in my home ... Take my chrome, I said, 'Yo, it's on.' Take cover, son ... Is this a cartoon?!? It's like, you're not just dealing with some guy with a gun, you're dealing with a drunk guy with a gun. It was like seeing that drunk group of Mexicans walkin' at you, like, "Oh, s**t - one of 'em got a gun, I know it." It's what I call that whole "Dust Zone," when L.A. was on angel dust. It was just different and good. Really good. If you go to a Cypress Hill concert even today, they'll keep you moving.
The Game "Westside Story" The Game is carrying over a lot of the original West Coast gangsta stuff. Game is hot. It's interesting, though; L.A./West Coast music comes from two trees. It's either NWA and the guys that all came from NWA, like Dre and Ice Cube and all of them, or the Syndicate, which is our organization, which would be Everlast and Cypress Hill and guys like that. So with Game coming out, he came through Dre. But it's still like a small family. The only time the West Coast had any beef, it was like a family feud when NWA fought each other. But that's why there's no beef. Everybody in L.A. gets along, because you can call me or you can call Cube or you can call Dre, and it's over.
Young Jeezy "Soul Survivor" He's one of my favorite new-school rappers, though nowadays if you've been in the game for a year, you're old-school. Like, at this point even 50 Cent could be considered old-school. But I like the way Young Jeezy rhymes. He's very clever. I like his cadence and everything else.
Ice-T "Original Gangsta" "It's the song everybody connects me with. That record happened after NWA came out and they named it gangsta rap, and we were three albums in, and I was like, "If this is gangsta, then I'm the O.G." And O.G. was a slang term that was used by gangs in L.A. for years. "O.G." meant you were the original; whether you were wearing the O.G. 501 jeans or the O.G. Chuck Taylors. The O.G.s were the guys that started it. The B.G.'s were the baby gangstas. Actually, Crips won't say B.G. because they don't say no words with "B's" in them. But the whole O.G. term; that's a global term now. I heard Martha Stewart say "O.G." Like Rakim said, "I'll take a phrase that's rarely heard/flip it/now it's a daily word."
Slayer "South of Heaven" They're my favorite metal band of all time, and this is my favorite metal song of all time. I don't care how many records they make, when you go see them in concert and they get ready to play that song, you get the hell off the floor, because it gets so evil and so serious. Live music is supposed to take you somewhere - you don't just go up on stage and sing like you're at a bar. Slayer takes you to hell. The crosses are upside-down and the stage goes red, and you go in there with them for that hour or two - that's what good live music does. And when it's over they're backstage drinking sodas and laughing like everybody else. All the speed-thrash groups now are trying to do what Slayer did.
Delfonics "Hey! Love" We talk rap and we talk rock, but on the other side I'll listen to the old stuff over rap any day. We actually use those Delfonics songs at our shows. I tell the kids - we have such a big white audience - I'm like, "Yo, if you ain't got your oldies, you ain't really gangsta, and you ain't gonna get no p*ssy with no Public Enemy. You gotta have those slow jams, playa.
Sade "The Color of Love" You put the album on and it sets you in a mood. She doesn't do no dance record or nothing; it's about a mood. I'm not really into people that make records that are all over the place, like when you got me in a love zone, and then HERE COMES THE BEAT!!! It's like, "Whoa, whoa ... I don't need that." Sade is the ultimate vibe lady. Sometimes you just gotta kick back.
Enigma "Return to Innocence" I like to listen to this stuff while I'm sittin' around, doing business and I need something in the background but don't need nobody's voice. That's on the artistic level. It's like, Ice-T's got more of a full spectrum; when I like it hard, I like it hard, when I want it gangsta, I want it gangsta, or when I want it smooth, I'm into the extremes, so it's gotta be really smooth. No mainstream pop bulls**t.VH1.comI also took the time to take a sneek peak at his album and I love it. Definately adding it to my Christmas list!!! Just gotta convince my parents that the CD is not bad because of the cover... Any ideas, evil co-conspirators?

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...I didn't get that alert from VH-1. Its interesting to see what musically Ice likes. thanks for posting this. I love SADE and NWA well they are another of the original rappers my son liked. I didn't tape Regis and Kelly..DUH forgot to set the timer on VCR As for how to convince your parents to get you that CD, I don't know. If their atitudes on nudity are strongly against you may have to ask for money for Christmas also and buy it yourself wrapped in a brown paper bag
