I do miss Alex. She had something about her, something in the way she prosecuted that made her the ultimate ADA. She had this in-your-face attitude, and was not satisfied until she got the verdict she wanted. She also wasnt afraid to put herself at risk for someone else.
We saw a lot of this in "Ghost." She was willing to give up everything she had managed to get used to as Emily in Wisconsin to put a criminal in jail. She had finally found a relationship, and then she had to pick up and move to another identity. She didnt even get to say goodbye. That takes guts.

OMG I miss Alex so much it's unhealthy!! lol I think her character arc on the show was perfect. She started out as an ADA very interested in advancing her political career, but def evolved over the course of 3+ seasons. She began to care about the victims sooo much more and took more risks that endangered her job in episodes like "Guilt" and "Fallacy" and then endangered her own life in "Loss." I miss her stone-cold looks at the sleezy defense lawyers and the perps and those GLASSES OF JUSTICE! haha oh goodness I miss those! Love ya Alex!

Ah the "Glasses of Justice". *Sigh*.
I totally agree with you, missinCABOT. One of her first lines in "Wrong is Right" was:
"Captain, I intend to stand on your shoulders to reach a broader constituancy. Why would I do anything to shorten my grasp?"
But after that, it wasn't about the win-loss ratio anymore. It became about the victims. That is the sign of a true SVU prosecutor.
And you gotta love the quotes: "Thank you. You've offered a provocative theory. What it lacks in substance, it makes up for in pretty colors."
Ah.

I also love that one from season 4 episode called "Grief" I think, where her closing argument ended with "An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind." I don't know if that's the right episode but I just loved that Alex moment!

I thought novak said that. hmm.
But yeah i really miss alex. I dont like Casey all that much. Her style isn't professional enought. But The fanfioction about Alex is getting me through this time.
That quote is my favorite also!!! I said it to my mom and she got so mad.

I liked alex. But i thought she was b****y at times though, but i thought she was a great charater. Yes, she could be very bitchy but I loved her more because of that! lol...She wasn't afraid to give perps, defense attornies or even the SVU unit a piece or her mind and her famous ice-cold stare! It was so enjoyable to watch Alex get in people's faces! Like when she told Zepata in "Loss" that a woman "can say anything about your performance in the bedroom and you're not actually allowed to kill her!" Gosh that woman had guts!

You know how all the detectives were a little uneasey with Casey well i didn't like her one bit when she first came on the show. I'm a big Alex Cabot Fan. She's the reason i want to be a lawyer.
