Congrats the the Angels. Of course Cleveland is out of it but our one bright spot is our 21 game winner, Cliff Lee.

The Baseball Playoffs will soon be here. Today is the last day of the regular season and depending on what happens with Minnesota, Chicago White Sox, NY Mets, & Milwaukee we may know who is in and who is out. If not there may be 1 or more extra games to play.
Here are the teams that are in:
Tampa Bay, Boston (wild card), LA Angels, LA Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia

I see both the California teams made it. That is exciting for you. ;D This has been an abysmal season for the Indians and I am glad it is over. I look forward to the play-offs and seeing some decent games.

Yes, Finaddict, this is an exciting time for me. Being a SF Giants fan, I hate the Dodgers. Like your team, the 1 bright spot for the Giants has been their ace pitcher Tim Lincecum. He has a chance to win the Cy Young but I'm not getting my hopes up too much. Back to the playoffs.
Milwaukee is in and the NY Mets are out as the NL wild card. The White Sox play a make-up game today against Detroit. If they lose they're out and Minnesota is in. If they win a 1 game playoff will be played between the Sox and the Twins.

Thanks Rambabe for sorting it all out for me. Since Cleveland did so poorly this season, I haven't paid as much attention as I usually do. I know there are rumors that our Cliff Lee maybe be up for a Cy Young as well. My sister is a Giants fans. She live in San Mateo for 15 years before returning home.

I live in Santa Rosa, about 60 miles north of SF.
The White Sox beat the Tigers yesterday so they will play the Twins tonight in Chicago. The winner will play Tampa Bay in the first round of the playoffs. Here is the playoff schedule thru Sunday, excluding the Tampa Bay vs. White Sox/Twins winner. I will add those later. That series will not start until Thursday.

Friday Oct. 3rd
Boston at LA Angels
Saturday Oct. 4th
Philadelphia at Milwaukee Chicago Cubs at LA Dodgers

Since the Angels lost I am also rooting for the Red Sox. Too bad they had to play in the first round. I hope Philadelphia beats the Dodgers.
