Since Ausiello is no longer at TV GUIDE I am starting a new thead called MEGA BUZZ, which appears to be TV GUIDE's new title for their "spoilers." Matt Webb Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor are the editors of this new feature. Let's see if they are any better than Ausiello. Here's the first SVU "scoop."
Is Ice-T gone from Law & Order: SVU? — Stephanie
Mickey: I'm hearing that Fin's abrupt request for a transfer will be explained in the season premiere. But wait, there's more SVU news: Stabler's mother will come for a visit, and it will be an "explosive" one. But wait, there's even more SVU news… further down the page.
With Ugly Betty moving production to New York, will we get more Judith Light appearances on Law & Order: SVU? — Jose
Mickey: Yes way, Jose! Executive producer Neal Baer confirms that there are plans for Light to don Liz Donnelly's judicial robes again this season.

thanks for posting this, rambabe. Let's hope Ice isn't gone but I didn't start watching SVU for him anyways. More Judith Light is always welcome.

LOL, Rambabe you know me too well. Lots of people don't want to see this. They just want their show back.

i am just interested to see what it is that is the 'very compromising position'! i mean with what they keep saying every time there is a personal moment between E and O it is nothing too big that makes me happier than usual as an EO shipper!

Apparently Stabler's mom is bipolar. Now you know what that means! community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TV...Ellen/800044948Stabler's mom has got it going on. Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn has been cast as Detective Stabler's bipolar mother on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, TVGuide.com has exclusively learned. My SVU moles hint that Burstyn's visit to the series will be "explosive" (they actually used that word), and with this kind of acting firepower on board, I say bring on the conflagration. Burstyn will appear in only one episode. Playing complicated matriarchs is nothing new to Burstyn. She won a Best Actress Oscar for playing a young widow and mother in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, and has been nominated five other times, including for playing Jared Leto's pill-popping Coney Island ma in Requiem for a Dream. More recently, the actress had a memorable turn on Big Love last season as Barb's loving, dignified, though ultimately disapproving parent. What do you think of this casting? Can't you just picture Burstyn making Chris Meloni take out the trash? "But, maaa…." — Mickey O'Connor

I'm really glad that we'll see more of Judith Light and Judge Donnelly, they're both amazing.
For the E/O thing, my resentment tells me not to dignify it with a proper answer.

MEGA BUZZ 8/20/08 community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Todays-News/Lost-Csi-Svu/800045403?rssDate=12345678Please say you're wrong about Benson and Stabler getting together on Law & Order: SVU, and that it's just an undercover operation. Why would they turn Benson into a "very *friendly* person"? Stabler is married, with a family. — Debbie Mickey: Putting aside the inherent sexism of your question for a minute, Debbie (why is Benson the "very *friendly* person" in this equation?), I will say that the cheeky monkeys at SVU get all schoolgirl-giggly whenever I ask this question, like they have a really juicy secret they wish they could share. That can only mean one thing: They're both going to be sluts. Oh, Debbie this is hardly worth a reply but here goes: Although I agree that Benson & Stabler shouldn't get together, Benson is nowhere near being a ""very *friendly* person"" and your use of that word is totally out of line !! Board rules dictate that I say no more! Mickey: Thank you for at least coming to Benson's defense.
