Thanks to SpyBarbie at svufans.net This is old but important and interesting. Law And Order SVU's Green Set by Terri MacLeod on 06. 9.08 Culture & Celebrity ..No more bottled water on the set of Law & Order: SVU. Actor Chris Meloni banned the waste and bought everyone reusable plastic bottles. "It makes a big difference," reveals his co-star Mariska Hargitay, "Two hundred or so people work on the show and everybody used to drink 5 or 6 bottles daily - so that's a lot of bottles." www.treehugger.com/files/2008/06/katie-holmes-gas-guzzler.php

I think that is great. No use in having all those plastic bottles cluttering up landfills etc. ;D

i recently switched to using a reusable nalgene bottle myself in addition to being more eco-friendly, it's a heck of a lot cuter than a plastic water bottle!! especially for school...i used to have to bring a plastic one every day and then fill it up three or four times but now i carry the nalgene around and it's much easier (and holds more water!)

I don't drink out of bottles to be honest. I just use mugs. It's a great idea though. As an official member of the eco-team for my area, I say good on ya Chris!! ;D

I drink water right out of the tap at home and I use a glass. I don't like the taste of plastic. Anything we can do to make things mre environmentally friendly is good.

I have a hard plastic bottle that I use on a regular basis, though I have no problem using plastic as long as it is recycled. I need to use bottles right now, because drinking city water isn't a good idea. I'm looking into getting a Brita filter, though.
