I agree that Casey is sadly missed. I felt bad that Kim thew out that remark about Casey being disbarred. I didn't think whe had been. I must have missed something in the season finale last year. I thought she was just suspended. They didn't actually mention in the season finale that she actually got disbarred, so I think that they threw in that remark to let us know what was the outcome of her Brady violation. But I agree, I felt that the statement was a little uncalled for, too.

The writers really went out of their way to assasinate Casey's character. That was not necessary.

The writers really went out of their way to assasinate Casey's character. That was not necessary. I completely agree with you on that, Patti. And I think it's just a little weird that we see Casey, a clever lawyer with a good reputation, suddenly withholding Brady material and getting disbarred. And for someone like Casey, who was clearly striving for justice, and not her own personal agenda, to commit a Brady violation; that just doesn't seem right.

It is so sad. This is Dick Wolf at his worst. He fired several people from The Mothership in it's first 5 seasons but they weren't written out as disbarred. The closest thing to this was Mike Logan being demoted and shipped off to Staten Island for attacking someone ( he was fired for being to old and Wolf wanted someone younger to pair with Jerry Orbach's Lenny).
I guess I would like to think that SVU could regain its footing after the loss of Casey, but unless they deal with Liv and El not being normal, I don't see much hope.
My mantra has been for 3 seasons.....Give us our show back.....

i agree about the whole EO not being normal for a the last few season and they really need to get back to the stories dealing with SVU but what i dont get is why he then brought Mikey back to CI! the eps dealing with ADAs will never be the same unless they bring back Diane or Steph!

I'm a little lated commenting, but like everyone else I thought too this episode was so much better than Trials.
The little side-line with Munch and the domestic violence-lady was a good add to 'the actual' episode. Elliot was annoying... perps who molest kids don't deserve protection from being beated but they can be beated in prison. Elliot was just selfish and once again got away too easily. Fin was great when he felt for him, tho. The new ADA truely is a b----, but hopefully she starts to fitting into the group. Maybe give up a little with her new policys

I'm not sure if I like the new ADA, but she acts like she has no life at all, however, it's only two eppys. I'll see more of her in the future. Honestly, I miss Novak and I am thrilled Greylek mentioned her.
Good of Fin to say "If she were my kid, I'd done him". Slowly, his grudge is fading. They had good memories. On "Rooftop" eppy, they were talking about their dreams when they were on the roof as if they were in high school. They really are great friends. Pity I didn't get to see how Elliot beat the crap out of Berlin.
Above all,
I give this episode 7.8. I want more juicy stories!!
