• I'm tired of watching Elliot get mad week after week. Same here, it's getting old... I loved it when Olivia said he was the one with a problem. There was also something good in the episode. Like the scene where Kathy slapped Elliot. And the conversation between Liv and Elliot's mom. Otherwise the episode truely blowed. We knew Elliot had a bad childhood due to his violent father, but a bi-polar mother as well... I think they took it too far. And the scene in the court room was straight from Influence. It felt like they were repeating old scripts. And I totally agree with Terry; It was like it never really started, and then suddenly it was over. They had a nice idea but the outcome was just bad.

Okay I have to say that this episode like most of you have said SUCKED. I mean like you guys mentioned it was just TOO much Stabler drama which I hated. And I agree why were Tamara and BD added into the credits in the first place??? It's like they are totally forgotten about anymore it seems like Melinda only gets an episdoe once a year and then she's forgotten and poor Haung the man's barely used either that's not fair SVU didn't used to be like this I don't understand why it all changed all of the sudden. Terry I agree with everything you've said in your previous posts about the episode. Hopefully the uncoming episode with Melinda will rock which I will it will I have no doubt of Tamara's acting.

OK I watched the episode when NBC reran it last night. It was in no way shape or form an SVU episode and should not have been shown. It was unnecessary, IMO. Now having said all that I will say that it was an excellent fact based story on Bipolar disorder and its hereditary link. I found no medical inaccuracies other than the ER Dr. would not have been able to diagnosis Kathleen so quickly. Bipolar disorder and Schizophrenia usually develop in late teens and early 20's and for years were under diagnosed. The pain and agony on families trying to cope with this was accurately portrayed. Many have had to commit loved ones in order to have them medicated and that can be heartbreaking. I think if Wolf wanted to do something on mental health, he should have done a TV movie on the subject. I found the story was compelling and intense BUT was way out of line being presented as an SVU episode. I know this is a strange review but then I can be strange.

Woah, now that was some episode..... are they getting worse (or is it just me?)
1. I still don't like Kim 2. Don't get me wrong, I like El but that was just way toooooo much Elliot! I didn't need to know all that stuff about him!!!! 3. Give Fin, Warner, Huang and Munch some scenes!! (just like old times, when they worked as a team work!!!! Now it's just Liv n El) *blood boils* 4. I wasn't to fond on the mother scenes.... 5. Poor Kathleen....
The best parts: 1. Was of the pictues of El when he young and 2. When Kathy slapped El across the face! (You go girl!!!!)

So far this is my favorite episode of the season! Well, then again, anything Elliot-centric is my favorite! I know a lot of people are really sick of Elliot's family getting a lot of attention but truth to the matter is that this is actually the real first episode dedicated to him on a personal matter. Olivia has had Philadelphia and Florida while Fin has had Venom. Paternity came close but it wasn't Elliot who was in the car crash so it was split in two, Elliot in the first half and Olivia in the second dealing with air time. I just hope that this will put the end to Kathleen's drama crap. I like Kathleen, I don't mind seeing her once in a while as with the other children and Kathy but her spotlight of attention is frying her up big time. Maureen never got that kind of focus, and that was the usual teenage-drama thing with Elliot tryin to come to terms that his daughter was becoming a young lady.
Did anybody had the chant "toga! toga! toga!" in their head when Elliot and Olivia found Kathleen in the playground wearing the shower curtain? From Animal House. Ah college students.
This episode had me liking Kathy more. I've always liked Kathy, I'm a proud EK shipper! I think this episode really proves that she doesn't like Elliot steamroll her. Don't get me wrong, I understand what Elliot was trying to do for Kathleen by getting help- he was at his plan Z, his last option and he was desperate. However he did wrong by not telling Kathy since the moment he gave the man his wife's necklace until the Defense attorney outed him. Sure Kathy may not have approved but truthfully, if it was me, I would prefer knowing about the plan from my husband rather then hearing it from the Defense attorney! Plus it does sum up what Fin said to Elliot in Cold about his character of being a human and a cop. Kathy holds up for herself- kudos for her.

I loved this episode, Elliot & Kathy, Baby Eli, Elliot with the 'Mama', 'Mama' with Olivia, Elliot and Olivia at the crib, Elliot's Carrot costume and his hot high school picture. End of Story.
Well done, TPTB!
