Hey guys so Im watching this episode and one of the actors being charged for raping a stipper (man) is the same actor that plays Kasey Novak later in the seasons to come. Anyone else think thats odd. Wouldn't anyone remeber that she was being charged for rape and then end up playing a different actor as DA later?
It kinda confused me.

no I don't think it would be confusing because they are two very different characters...although others may feel differently.

The characters are meant to be entirely separate, so it might be confusing on the first view if someone doesn't know that. But the characters have two distinctly different names and personalities, so it really isn't confusing if you know Casey Novak's character. I'm willing to bet that they liked her performance enough the first time that when the audition for Casey came up, it was a piece of cake for Diane to get the part.

I agree, Trublu. Diane was awesome in that episode and I think that quite possibly have lead to her being picked to replace Stephanie March.

Diane Neal was excellent in her role as Amelia Chase. (and a shameful turn-on from my shallow end)
it's a nice bit of trivia but not very confusing at all. seeing "Serendipity" probably made a lot of people do a double-take but i doubt it was odd.
SVU has recycled a handful of guest actors but Novak/Neal gets the prize for the transition and the longest-running ADA unmatched.
holla...
