Stabler enlists his daughter's help with a case tied to teens "sexting" nude photos.

Seriously I'm beginning to wonder if Elliot knows he has other daughters named Maureen and Elizabeth rather then turning to ol' "reliable" Kathleen?

I actually really liked this episode, it was better then Selfish (it was good until the measles turn).
I questioned about Alex too but she's supposed to be in Liberties

I questioned about Alex too but she's supposed to be in Liberties Alex is supposed to be in 6 episodes and she has already been in 5. So LIBERTIES is supposedly her last episode this season. She is not in the Season finale, ZEBRAS.

I liked the topic of this episode. I never did find out what happened with the case in Texas (I think) where this happened. I think it took an odd twist at the end with the juvenille center and the judge. Not that it was a bad story but I think they could have done more with the orignal story, that seemed like such a filler. Although I did like seeing Huang play lawyer. ;D

Not that it was a bad story but I think they could have done more with the orignal story, that seemed like such a filler. Although I did like seeing Huang play lawyer. ;D I laughed myself off my bed with Huang playing the lawyer. The one question I was asking myself the other night was, "Where is Alex?" closely followed by, "where did this lawyer come from?" I must have asked the question, out loud (in an empty room) five or six times. I don't know why they had this episode here, feels like it could have gone before Alex's run. That said, the episode was a pretty good episode after I got over the fact that I wasn't going to be seeing Alex. I like that they addressed teen abusive relationships (so often overlooked), and in quite a realistic manner. I was a little back and forth about Kathleen, because the focus on her was never about any abuse she was suffering. But, I can see where they were coming from. And, it took a while, but I did come to like the ada that they introduced us to. So long as she retains that string of humanity that she found toward the end there, I wouldn't mind seeing her again. Love how the episode description says "Elliot enlists the help..." he was definitely nowhere in sight when Kathleen appeared. In fact, I'd guess that Olivia asked her to help.

Yeah I now know that. Originally I thought she would be all in the row instead of missing an episode in between. When Neal said that she'll be in next to final I thought perhaps they decided to stretch the 6 episode deal to 7. I misunderstood the plan I guess, got confused.
I'm thinking that Olivia turned to Kathleen for help because Kathleen is relatively close to Kim's age and thought that maybe someone who has had problems, who has been in jail before, that Kim can feel at ease and open up on what's really going on with her. Also I guess Olivia wanted to show Kim that she is really trying to help as she had done with Kathleen to confront her bipolar disorder and got help-- only with Kim is to face that she has an abusive boyfriend and to get help as a battered girlfriend.
I thought was a bit strange myself. I know Kathleen is a legal adult and doesn't need Elliot's permission to go anywhere but it's not usual that Elliot doesn't share any scenes with any of his kids. Maybe there was a father-daughter moment but was cut out? That's always the possibility. I'm wondering if Elliot knew that Kathleen kinda helped Kim? He was the one who arrested her boyfriend.

A usual SVU episode.. I really liked it. I was expecting this would be one of those Elliot-Kathleen episodes, but it was nice that this was more Olivia centric than Elliot, beside the fact Elliot's daughter made an appearance. Tho, you would think Olivia should know young adults more experienced with the subject than Kathleen, but it was nice to see Kathleen is stable now. Appearently they just had to some how write one more appearance for the character *shrug*
The ADA (Samantha something..?) was better than Greylek. Even though she looked like a b.... I could get her side too when they argued how to proceed. I still feel sorry they wrote Graylek so uptight, because she was otherwise good.

I liked the episode. It covered the issue of boyfriend abuse and how the girls are terrified to leave. It also covered well the issue of sending sexually explicit pics of oneself. If just one girl seeks help for her abusive relationship or decides to turn her camera phone off it will be well worth it.
I found the issue of the judge to be interesting as well. We woould all like to think this never happens but I know better.
I missed Alex but kinda liked the other ADA.

I think I groaned loudly when Kathleen appeared on my screen! I rolled my eyes and snorted. As for the rest of the episode, I thought it was pretty good. First of all, Olivia wore her leather jacket in the beginning, and the substitute ADA was nice. The plot was interesting enough, and bringing in the not-so-lovely judge gave it an extra twist. Not seeing Alex was a huge bummer, though. I kind of sit with this feeling that her grand return has been hyped up beyond belief, and not even started on fulfilling all the expectations a lot of us had. As a small side note, this episode reinforced my belief that Dale could be the guy dying in the end, though Munch's ex could be possible as well.

It's like the powers that be love yanking our chain . They throw us what could be a potentially amazing story line, and they give us a dud. Then on the other hand, we should have expected this from them. I mean, they always do this to us .

I agree with you Terry. I thought there would be something exciting going on with Alex. Maybe we will be pleasantly surprised later but not holding my breath.
