Christine Lahti Back for More Law & Order: SVUSep 22, 2009 03:55 PM ET by Robyn Ross Christine Lahti begins her Law & Order: SVU four-episode arc on Wednesday's premiere, but it seems her character may be popping back, in a new light, later on in the season. "Episode 9 I come back," Lahti told TVGuide.com, saying there's definitely "a clash" in one scene with Assistant District Attorney Alex Cabot, played by the recurring Stephanie March. News: Mariska and Meloni are in for Season 11, and so is Christine Lahti Lahti said her character, Sonya Paxton, has "some hidden secret demons that are very intense." She adds that her character, who "starts out as a control freak, strong, demanding ADA, turns into a wild ride." So will either Lahti or March fill the ADA role on SVU permanently? Executive producer Neal Baer says it's all up in the air. "Stephanie is doing 10 shows and then she has other things to do, so at the end of the season, [in] the last five shows, anything could happen." "I have some ideas," he adds. Law & Order: SVU premieres Wednesday at 9/8c on NBC. Who would you cast as ADA? www.tvguide.com/News/Christine-Lahti-SVU-1010070.aspx

Who would I cast as an ADA? The obvious choice would be Stephanie March. If we couldn't keep her for a permenint run, then I'd pick Jeri Ryan. I don't know how Lahti will do yet so she's up in the air.

CHRISTINE LAHTI - “LAW & ORDER: SVU’S” NEWEST ADAThanks to SpyBarbie at svufans net There are also 3 audio clips of Christine. She discusses why she won't be a regular on SVU, gives a firsthand account of being recognized, and states where she keeps her statues and how she takes the snootiness out of winning. www.hollywoodoutbreak.com/2009/09/30/christine-lahti-law-order-svus-newest-ada/Christine Lahti is starring in four-episode arc for the hit drama, Law & Order: SVU. The actress is playing no-nonsense ADA Sonya Paxton and fairly quickly we’re going to learn the ADA isn’t quite who she appears to be. That’s one of the reasons Lahti accepted the role. She loves a good challenge. But, don’t expect her to become a permanent fixture on the series. After all, she’s got a healthy career in both film and TV with an Oscar for directing and an Emmy for acting to prove it. The Primary reason Lahti wouldn’t take the gig full-time, even if it were offered, is because she’s a working mom with family roots planted firmly in Los Angeles…at least for the time being. The actress has also been the voice behind the Olay commercials for years, but it’s not her vocal chords people react to when she’s in public. Lahti admits she’s often mistaken for West Wing star, Allison Janey, another tall actress with a history of meaty roles. Lahti is well-respected by studios, networks, her peers and the public, but she still doesn’t let the accomplishments go to her head. As a matter of fact, though the Oscar and Emmy are prominently displayed, they’ve had a costume change now and then.

I'm actually really like her character. Well I hate the character too lol I love to hate her! Sonya does remind me of Kim but she's being played by a better actress.
