WHEN A DEAD WOMAN IS FOUND STUFFED INSIDE A SUITCASE, DETECTIVES ELLIOT STABLER (CHRIS MELONI) AND OLIVIA BENSON (MARISKA HARGITAY) BELIEVE SHE WAS MURDERED BY HER SUGAR DADDY.
A young woman’s body is found stuffed inside a suitcase, and police believe that Mindy Keefe, the victim, was a train passenger on her way to Tampa when she was murdered. Detectives Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) and Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) turn to Keefe’s financier boyfriend, Owen Cassidy’s (Guest Star Matt C. Burns) yacht to investigate. However, Cassidy claims he was on his boat during the time of the murder. After further searching, the detectives discover Keefe belonged to an online dating website. But when the CEO of the dating website, Vance Shepard (Guest Star Eric McCormack), refuses to comment on the case, the detectives turn to ADA Sonya Paxton (Christine Lahti) for help. Also starring: Richard Belzer (Detective John Much), Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen), Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Tamara Tunie (Dr. Melinda Warner), and B.D. Wong (Dr. George Huang).

Paxton really looks like she's gonna crack real soon. And I totally dig it! I mean, I can't wait to see why she is the way she is...

Okay, I love Sonya Paxton now. Her little confrontation with Stabler and the way she started crying at the end...I can tell she's gonna be good.

I liked the epi but I can say I am still undecided on Paxton. I am not a fan of hard-a$$es really but we will see.

Well the episode was not the best or the worst. It moved slow at first then the ending totally surprised me. I like ADA Paxton and wonder what makes her tick. Why is she such a hard @$$? Don't mind her getting in Elliot's face cause he has been over the line a number of times.
Where has Munch been? I loved seeing a decent amount of Fin but he and Munch have such a dymanic together that I miss them.

I was wondering the same thing. No vauge explination on his whereabouts. So unlike SVU to do that...

You will all be glad to know Munch is in the next episode, SOLITARY. There are some pics on the NBC Media site which I will post in the pics thread.
I liked this episode and like most of you, the ending threw me. I knew when Paxton allowed Vance & his daughter to meet one of them was going to go down. I just didn't know which one and how. They shouldn't have taken the handcuffs off.
I, for one am enjoying the Paxton/Stabler repartee.
I know I have seen Lizette before also but I can't seem to place her.

I liked this episode better then I did with Unstable. I'm familiar with Eric McCormick's work (Will and Grace!) I did laugh a bit when he said that ties makes him nervous, sounded like Will's gay side peaking through.
I'm glad Elliot thought about calling his wife to let her know he won't be home soon; sounds like he learned his lesson from Wildlife!
The ending also threw me. I kinda knew that something was going to happen but wasn't sure what when Paxton agreed to let Vance have his handcuffs off to be with his daughter. However I thought it was also a stupid move to release him in the squad room rather then an interrogation room or even in the jail cell to let Vance and Chantel have their little moment.
In Unstable, did anyone noticed that Paxton really liked her coffee? I mean I know everyone on the show does but Paxton, the way she holds that coffee cup and then later on in this episode she pretty much did the same thing and started to smoke when she KNEW that smoking wasn't allowed in the police station...something's up for sure...

Paxton is throwing me for loops upon loops. I don't really like the way her character is being written; it seems totally out of the scope of what an ADA should be to the squad, and I have a hard time believing that Jack McCoy sent her to do the job the way she is doing it. While she's busy playing "by the book," she's so far managed, in total, to screw up two cases and just make the detectives more nervous about doing their jobs. In order to salvage this character, they need to humanize her, and soon. She needs to start bonding with the squad, doing something to get on their good graces, or else she's the next Kim Greylek.
That, and... why in the name of the SVU gods would she pretend it's okay to be smoking in a public building? Those laws have been on the books for a long time. It's silly things like that that keep me skeptical, there's just 0% chance that any sane lawyer would do the things she is doing.
As for this week's case, it was pretty solid. I didn't even think to think of the daughter until they were going over the security tapes, and they did a great job of building her into the story from the very beginning without us even knowing it.
I also did love Eric McCormack; loved him in Will and Grace too. Seemed like he did have a hint of that character in this role, though obviously not much.

I didn't really like this ep. I thought the ending was pretty obvious, and a big cliché, with the whole "dad takes rep for daughter in final attempt to salvage their relationship"-thing.
It was pretty cool to see Eric McCormack in the episode, but I feel that every time I see someone I recognize from another big show, I start to associate their character now with whomever they usually play. I think he was a good fit for the part, though.
As for Sonya, I still think she's awesome. I did surprise me that she lit up a cigarette inside the squadroom, though. And I feel pretty disappointed by the fact that we saw more Fin than Munch, though. I like how they compliment each other in certain situations. (He was in last nights episode, though, so perhaps things are looking up.)

Oh, I so love Sonya Paxton/Christina Lahti.... As ADAs we have seen on SVU everyone after Alex has been b....es or otherwise unlikeable persons. Casey was good but her start was also rough. This far the season has been great and ejoyeble to watch. After last season I didn't have my hopes so high but this episode was even better than the premier!!
