A PROSTITUTE IS FOUND DEAD AND THE SUSPECTS ARE TEENAGERS -- BARRY BOSTWICK GUEST-STARS... MOREThis sounds like a good episode, and a good one for Casey fans as well, since it seems that she spent a lot of time on this one.

This was good. Not great, but good. It wasn't one of the more riveting plot lines, although Garrett made me sick and the violence made me cringe.
Seeing how a young boy like Stabler's son could be so addicted to a violent video game should give pause to any parent out there and wonder what their children are up to after school.
I was glad this case didn't go up to the video game maker and producer, like we would have seen on the original, and become a Constitutional issue. It would have been nice though to clear up the US attorney's role and the terrorism angle. That wasn't tied in too well.
ETA:The filter automatically changed Stabler's son's name, so it was changed for clarity

I thought the episode was pretty good. *Casey fans havent seen a lot of her lately, so it was refreshing in that sense as well* The absense of Olivia though was a little weird, i thought. I mean, what is a "homicide class"? where they teach you about homicide? I think WE have the basics of that down... It was strange how Kathy just left young Stabler there with all the pictures and stuff without telling Elliot or anything. Its a good thing that he was able to help them though, or they might have gone nowhere with it The video game thing: I think it depends on how you look at it. I myself play a lot of video games that would probably be considered violent, but im not about to go out and imitate the game, and call it all a joke. I think the defense was pretty much bogus, especially after Huang determined that the kid's head was clear as a whistle. Plus, if the jury had found him not guilty, it would open the door for people to start blaming video games for things that are totally irrelevant. "Oh, i pushed him off the roof, not because i was mad, but because i thought he would fly like in 'Such and such a game.'" I agree, Mariskafan, the US Attorney and terrorism thing was ill placed. They could have done a lot more with it in another episode or something and have it make a lot more sense to have it in there. If you are a Casey fan, this was probably an enjoyable episode for you. I have a feeling it was just as enjoyable for her to shoot.

I thought this episode was just okay. I'm not a big "ripped from the headlines" person. Although this wasn't exactly ripped from the headlines, it was very close to what we've been hearing about lately involving video games. I don't think that kid was really that influenced by the game. He would have killed somebody anyway, maybe not in the same matter (that he got from the game), but he had an impulse that he wasn't controlling properly. I am not a big fan of the Olivia or Elliot solo episodes. I read in today's Ask Ausiello[/u][/url] (at TVGuide.com) that the reason they do these episodes without either Elliot or Olivia is because they like to shoot two episodes at once. One with Olivia and one with Elliot. I don't like it, though, so I wish they would keep the gang together.

Good evening everyone, Hello, this is the Byrdman coming at you all tonight. I hope that everyone is rocking and rolling through their weekends, just as I am! This episode was rerun on NBC tonight, and I caught it. First of all, it started off disturbingly, that poor girl getting hit by a car and then kicked to death. Man, that was bad. Oh, violent video games... I can remember when "Mortal Kombat" was the worst of the worst. People wanted that banned. I think MK pales in comparison to some of these games today. I have never played them, and I don't plan on playing them either. But it was troubling to see Garrett replicate the game in real life with that girl that he and his friends hit and murdered. And I do not really have an opinion on them, I just think it is somewhat disturbing that people play them, just my thoughts. Plus, Barry Bostwick was in this! I had never seen him here before, he was a lawyer, and Casey and the team sounded like they knew him. Is he a regular on SVU? Ah, the mayor of "Spin City", and Roy Brigham Anthony from "Creatures of the Night" on Cold Case. It was also cool that Elliot's son put down his video game for "a talk" with his dad. I was glad to see that, and I think it showed a difference between him and Garrett, a welcome difference. Finally, this was an excellent episode for Casey. Man, that girl can interrogate well, can't she? She got the bad guy, and I was glad to see that. Just wanted to share some thoughts I had on this ep. Thanks for your attention, and take care tonight, everyone!

When I was younger, I used to ask my parents to let me play video games that had "Teen" or "Mature" ratings. They refused to let me play violent video games of any kind, including 007 games and such, and I used to be so angry with them. Now I'm thankful that they kept me away from those horrific images and themes. I mean, we have enough awful stuff on the news and in everyday life...why must we expose kids/teens to violence through video games?? I know it's a popular business but those are just my thoughts on the subject. Overall, this was not one of my favorite episodes but it had a good message. I too loved that Elliot's son put down his game to talk with his dad at the end of the ep. So cute! P.S. was that the same actor who played Stabler's son from past seasons? It looked a whole lot like the same kid but tv shows rarely have the same actor for such small children roles. Anyone know?
