BALDERDASH
In 1998, Harry Potter finally defeated Lord Voldemort, destroying every Horcrux and his soul completely. He, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger were awarded with grand titles, each of them receiving a plethora of job offers. The Ministry declared Kingsley Shacklebolt as the new Minister, who vowed to change the Ministry for the better, restaff those who were behind the corruption and downfall, and ultimately be one of the most level-headed Ministers the Wizarding World had ever seen.
For twenty-two years, the Wizarding World was closer to utopia than it had ever been. Although minor crimes could still be found here and there, no attacks, no discrimination, nothing. The wizards and witches who had seen the Wizarding World through it's worst time felt that it couldn't have been better. But oh, were they wrong.
Dolores Umbridge had been one of the many who was removed from office immediately, being stripped of all titles, being demoted to a commoner, and being set on the streets under a watchful eye and on a probation of sorts. The woman moved away, claiming that she wished to go to a more peaceful, serene area where she could "find herself" and be at ease without all the commotion of the new world. It was a shame that the Aurors-in-training had believed this tale and had let her go, without an escort, without anything. She did move to Ireland, in a peaceful cottage with acres of land; however, she brought a few friends with her.
Yaxley had been the first; she had found him living in a muggle residence, hiding under a completely different name. They had worked together the previous year, so she eagerly invited him to come along with her. The Carrows had been the other people that Umbridge had tracked down-other than that, she knew of no others who had escaped the Order of the Phoenix the night of the final battle.
The four remained under wraps, the three Death Eaters having changed their names and appearances so that if an auror were to drop in on Umbridge, she could convince the said auror that she was living with muggles-or she had a family, which ever seemed to fit.
In twenty years, they had quite a group of exhiled followers of Voldemort, many being previous Death Eaters, spread out through Europe. It was then Umbridge realized that they all had one common purpose-and that was to get revenge on all the inferior beings that overthrew her.
Yaxley had been appointed leader, since he had the closest relation to Voldemort out of the entire group. He saw Voldemort's weaknesses, the minor flaws that made him fall. And because of that, he knew that they could become more powerful than Voldemort, if they created a strategy. But he wasn't dumb; he knew that they couldn't openly attack the students from long ago-after all, they were adults now, they were much more experienced, and he knew that many of them worked for the Ministry. No, he knew that their first target had to be something else-something that would still affect the adults, but in a different way. And he knew that that would be their children.
It would take a lot of scheming, and he knew that they would need to get someone in there, get one of their own to be a teacher, or at least the grounds keeper. And that's when he hatched a brilliant idea.
Even twenty-two years later, Argus Filch, now in his eighties, still walked the halls of Hogwarts at night, and Yaxley knew his fondness of Dolores. It didn't take much to get Filch on their side, and he was quickly in the loop of what was going on. Together, they're hatching a major attack on Hogwarts. But what they aren't aware of is that James Potter, the sleuth, the trickster of Hogwarts, overheard Filch and got a snippet of the plan. It didn't take long before word got to the head of Aurors, Harry Potter, and now the old Dumbledore's Army find themselves reuniting to become the new Order of the Phoenix. What will the students do? Now it's your time to decide where your loyalties lie.
