This week's TV Guide (Oct.27th-November 2) features an interview with Tamara which includes some info regarding next weeks episode, RETRO. There is also a nice pic of her.
NAME THAT TUNIE
As coroner Melinda Warner, Tamara Tunie is the secret weapon of SVU- the one who nails baddies by examining their victims. The actress explains why Warner steps out of the morgue to nab a dangerous quack tonight and how she snared a Tony.---GJD
So it's Dr. Warner vs. Martin Mull? She goes toe-to-toe with Mull's doctor because he treats HIV with mumbo jumbo. What's frightening is that his argument can sound sane. And Martin is smart enough to make one pause.
Does SVU's subject matter affect you? It's dark stuff, but I love working with the actors and crew. There is no downside.
Do you miss practicing law on As The World Turns? {laughs} I miss {Jessica}! I don't know if we'll see her again, but I did some meaty stuff.
You did some meaty stuff on Broadway too! Talk about beginner's luck. "Spring Awakening" was the first show I ever produced-and I was one of many. I just knew it was the kind of theater that I liked!
Tune in Tamara: "It just bums me out if there is an episode that doesn't need Warner."
That makes several of us!
