TV GuideLynn Cohen, best known for her role as Magda on HBO's Sex and the City, has nabbed a guest spot in an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. Cohen will play the matriarch of an Italian beef company in an episode aptly titled "Beef." Her appearance is set to air April 21 (10/9c on NBC). This isn't the first time a Sex and the City alum will be on SVU. Cynthia Nixon, whose character Miranda employed Magda throughout the duration of the series, won an Emmy for her guest spot in 2008.

From TVGUIDE May 3rd-9th Season Finale Issue
Law & Order:SVU: First, the exciting news: Elliot and Olivia are adopting a baby together! Now the bitter dose of reality: The detectives are merely posing as a married couple to expose a baby-trafficking ring. "You'll see what it would be like, if only it could happen," says exec producer Neal Baer. The May 5 episode guest stars Kate Nelligan as a stern judge who goes head-to-head with Sharon Stone's Jo Marlowe. On May 12, ER vet Alex Kingston is back as an attorney who'll also battle Stone, then the finale features much-honored French film star Isabelle Huppert in her American television debut as a grieving mother. Before the hour is up, there could be some grieving of a more personal nature. "Something terrible involving a gun happens to one of our leads," says Baer, confiding that the biggest cliff-hanger of all is whether or not Stone will return in the fall.

She’s not signed on for more then a few episodes, right? It states that one of the leads will have something terrible happen to them with a gun. Don't shoot me (pun intended) but I think it will be Liv. She hasn't been seriously injured yet and I think her time may have finally come. Of course I don't want her to be killed but then El could comfort her and the E/O shippers will be happy, right! Anyway Mariska & Chris won't be killed. They are signed on for next season. I seriously don't want any of them killed. Last season's finale with the demise of O'Halloran did me in.

Good point. I'd have to say that it's Benson's turn to get shot at. I mean, she's had a gun pointed at her a few times so this episode maybe her lucky day. Heck, even Alex got shot, so why not Liv. And on that note, this could be the reason that Alex comes back! hahahaha...no seriously, she could come back...right? *looks around the room* what?

From TVGUIDE online Season finale preview: www.tvguide.com/special/tv-finale-preview/PhotoGallery/28-Finales-1017603#1017622Law & Order: SVU (May 19, NBC)French actress Isabelle Huppert guest-stars as the mother of a kidnapped child in the season finale, which also marks the end of Sharon Stone's run as feisty DA Jo Marlowe. Before she leaves though, her plainspoken presence — and her history with Stabler — will drive a wedge between him and Benson.

Law & Order:SVU Signs "Lost" Alumwww.tvguide.com/News/Kecks-Exclusives-Law-1020198.aspxLost alum Henry Ian Cusick, who played the time-traveling Desmond Hume on the ABC series, is leaping to NBC. He has signed on for at least two fall episodes of Law & Order: SVU, playing a graphic artist named Erik Weber. SVU executive producer Neal Baer, a fan of Lost, tells me he cast Ian because he is "a sharp, smart leader and very charismatic." Could Ian finally help Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) get over her long romantic dry spell? (Her last lover was Kurt Moss, played by Bill Pullman, way back in 2008!) "There might be some flirtation," Baer says. "Erik meets Olivia when he comes to someone's aid. And then we'll see how it goes. Olivia is devoted to her job and knows that comes first." While this comes as good news to us, somewhere out there Penny Widmore is sobbing. SVU is also looking for a big-name female to replace the departing Sharon Stone. Maybe Sonya Walger (Penny) could play that role?!

www.tvguide.com/News/MegaBuzz-House-SVU-Bones-1020215.aspxIf this is the last season of Law & Order: SVU, does it mean we'll finally see Benson and Stabler together? — Gloria MICKEY: Well, it may or may not be the last season; nothing official has been announced. It all depends on how Law & Order: Los Angeles does. As for an ultimate Benson-Stabler hookup, don't hold your breath. First, it's totally not Dick Wolf's style to center one of his shows on a romance. Second, Olivia is already getting a new love interest. (Good to see you again, brutha.) Finaddict, I hear this love interest will last two episodes rather than a 5 second appearance (remember Kurt Moss?)
