that Yankees/Twins game I feel justifies the use of instant replay in baseball to determine the call. Mauer's ball was in fair territory and should have been a ground rule double.

I agree with you on the replay issue, Finaddict.. There were a few calls in the first Red Sox/Angels game that also warranted it. There were 2 calls where the Angels were called safe at 1st base and on replay the runner should have been out. I could see it clearly even with my poor vision. I am saying this even though I am an Angels fan. What's fair is fair.
Yesterdays game: Dodgers swept the cards 5-1. Rockies/Philles game was snowed out and hopefully will be played tonight. It will air after the Angels/Red Sox and Yankees/Twins games.

Sorry Nikki. They had a 2 run lead in the bottom of the 8th and the Angels scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th to win 7-6. This makes up for all the previous times the Sox have beaten the Angels in the playoffs.

we could yet end up with an all Los Angeles world series.....When was the last time that happened, Rambabe or has it ever? I cant remember. I remember Oakland and the Giants in 1989 where I got to see an earthquake...

I don't believe there has been an LA World Series. The Angels only recently have been to the playoffs. I will NEVER forget the The World Series of 89. The quake hit our area very hard and we were very lucky we weren't seriously injured.
As far as this year goes, as much as I want the Angels to win I don't think they will against the Yankees. The Dodgers and Phillies are a different story. I really hope the Phillies win. I can't stand the Dodgers. The Phillies have to beat the Rockies first and I think they will.
Rest of yesterdays scores:
Yankees 4, Twins 1-Yankees sweep series 3-0 Phillies 6, Rockies 5
Phillies play the Rockies again tonight.

The Phiiles beat the Rockies 5-4 yesterday so they will play the Dodgers in the NLCS. Series starts Thursday in LA. The ALCS will start Friday in New York.

I hate the Yankees and am rootong for the Angels but I think their chances are slim.
I watched the game last night and the Phillies rocked. The 9th in was something else. I also want the Phillies in the World Series. Cliff Lee deserves to pitch in those games.

The Phillies rock and ex-Indian Cy Young award winner Cliff Lee is an awesome pitcher.

Yea! The Phillies beat the Dodgers in game 1 of the NLCS 8-6. And Cliff Lee hasn't pitched in this series yet. Pedro Martinez pitches today. Now if only the Angels can win 1 of the 2 games in NY.
