I am going to watch this with interest. My bazillion years(ok maybe it just seems like a bazillion) in healthcare has been in Nursing homes and assisted living communities affiliated with them.

There's a commercial right now so I'll make this quick.
That's the new ADA? The one that Benson has eyes for? Come on!! At least make him cute!

I don't think it's the ADA that Benson will have her eyes on. Besides, they didn't even check each other out at all!
Anyway, here's my review: I think whoever played Janice, the abusive sister, she really overacted with the attitude. She kept swaying her head "ohnoyoudidn't!" and it was way way too much. Tone it down girl.
Anybody catch the Blind Side DVD pitch during commerical break? How Hollywood for Quinton Aaron's movie to come out that same week as his appearance on SVU.
I think it would have been a much much better choice if it had been Fin to have the final 15 minutes instead of Olivia since he seemed to have been more emotionally involved with this episode after what happened with his Grandfather. No surprise she's getting a lot of solo scenes especially in the last part of the episode- it happened in Savior, Witness (although granted Alex shared the spotlight, considering it was her last episode of the season!); I'm sure there's tons more but right now I only am going with the recent ones from the top of my head.
Other then that, I did like the episode however it reminded me a lot of Competence from season 3.

I was gonna say, if that's the guy then I'm officially giving up on Olivia's love life. I mean, I'm an A/O shipper to the end but since TPTB aren't going in that direction at least give Olivia a nice looking guy and perferably a 'good guy'. I'm still getting over the whole 'Kurt' debacle *shivers* and not to mention *gag* FBI guy. I agree, the abusive sister was too...over the top. I kinda got sick watching that video where she was hitting Cara - I couldn't stomach it. I had to get up and leave the room for a second. My grandma lives on her own but still, I always worry about something like that happening to her and it just terrifies me. Shameless plug! lol.

What's also sickening is that the Blind Side DVD is being plugged everywhere on almost every news show following an update on Sandra Bullock & Jesse James.

I actually liked the episode. I thought it brought to light a problem that many times is swept under the rug. Abuse of disabled and elderly persons by their own families.
There was no bad press for nursing homes and/or assisted living facilites and I have no idea why that was even in the synopsis.
The problem was with the company that transports the disabled.
I liked the male ADA but then I have no problem with a man in that role. I loved Paul Robinette from early Mothership and ADA Carver from CI. I saw no evidence that he and Liv were even interested in each other.
It was good to see so much of Fin, and I too wished he had done the last 15 minutes as he had a vested interest in the case.
