What an episode. I really love the character of Amanda Rollins; it's been a while since we've had a consistent female detective in the unit, and I enjoy how they're integrating her family life and her addiction into the story. Last night's episode was a great example of this, as well as a great example of integrating another family character to balance her storyline.
I really hope they revisit the psychological portion of this episode; my heart almost broke at the final scene between Elizabeth Olivet and Amanda; while it was understandable that Olivet couldn't treat her at the time, there were a lot of warning signs for her to catch on to and to motivate her to make sure Amanda continues to receive psychological treatment.
Ratings wise, the episode bumped up viewership among the 18-49 set for the second week in a row (about 6.25%).
