Ok...that was beyond intense.
It didn't hit me until the last 15/10 minutes left into the episode that this year could be a very different Benson. When she finally got free, and she had tied up the guy and was just walking around, mummbling, I was really afraid that the Benson we know was gone. Then she picked up the torch and for a second, I thought she was gonna cross that line. Even the way she spoke, it sounded like she was boarderline - half Olivia, half monster. Good vs. Evil.
Then when she just picked up the metal bar and kept whaking him...I was relived. In the perverbial sense, she was beating the beast out of her when she was screaming while swinging the bar.
Then when she was leaving the station, with everyone looking at her with that, 'oh no. She's a victim now' I got the feeling that Benson will fight that through out the whole season. She won't truly come to terms/grips with that - it's gonna really changer her and how she does her work.
Unfortuantly, I didn't see the second hour. Don't know what happened but the second hour was nixed and CSI was on.
