I'm sure most of you have heard by now about the disaster that has struck the southeastern Asia area. The death toll is now up around 150,000, which is a devistating number. Many groups and organizations are donating money to the relief effort. Think of it this way: I'm on the student council in my school, and what we are asking is that every person donate one dollar. One dollar, or whatever the equivalent is in your currency if it is different from the US's currency. If everyone donated that one dollar in school, we'd be able to raise over $1000. Some have already donated more than that, and most of the teachers are as well. My point is, please try and donate to the relief effort if you can. It will make a huge difference, whether you donate $1, $10, or $100. Here is a link to an organization that will donate every penny that they collect to the relief effort: www.americares.org
