We're getting closer and closer folks! ;D So what team are you rooting for? You all know by now that I'm a Sox girl. Here's where it stands:
NY clinched the AL East with a victory against *my* Boston yesterday *tear*. So they are in.
Today, it comes down to what the Sox and Indians do.
Sox win, no matter what the Indians do, we're in the Wild Card. ;D
Sox lose, Indians lose, we're still in.
Indians win, Sox lose, it forces a do-or-die match tomorrow.
I'm not as well informed about the National League, but here goes nothing:
If the Astros win today, no matter what the Phillies do, they get the Wild Card.
If the Astros lose and the Phillies win, they also get to play a do-or-die match Monday.
If both teams lose, Astros win the Wild Card.
For the American League (division winners): East:Yankees Central: White Sox West: LA Angels
For the National League (dicision winners): East: Atlanta Braves Central: St. Louis Cardinals West: San Diego Padres

Yeah. I saw the game between Boston & Yankees and all I can say is......Go YANKEES. Don't cry Trublu, Boston did good. They have me scared when Ramirez hit that home run.

I'm glad we got back into the groove and beat them Yankees good today ;D. Wouldn't have mattered though, Indians lost, so we were automatically in the Wildcard. I was especially happy with our scoreboard people though, after the game they put our name on top in the AL East, even though the title technically belongs to the Yanks. But we have identical season records... so why not take a little home field advantage, hm? Astros got the Wildcard (so I hear). Boston plays in Chicago Tuesday and the Yankees are in LA.

Yeah. So Boston is out of the playoffs *sob* . Angels are ahead in the ALDS with the Yankees, so that makes it a little better. Oh well, back to the mantra. "There's always next year."
