NBC PRESS RELEASE
TEENAGE DRINKING TURNS DEADLY-LILLIAN RICE(LAURA LEIGHTON) GUEST STARS-An honor student dies at party-while the primary suspect is their alcohol supplier, the four honor students who threw the party are arrested for criminal negligent homicide, but get a slap on the wrist from Judge Donnelly(JUDITH LIGHT). Detective Stabler enlists his own teenage daughter Kathleen(ALISON SIKO) to guide him through the world of teenage cyberspace to find out where the next party is taking place. The website leads to the home of one of the students where they find the mother of one of the kids --Lillian Rice, in a compromising position and she is arrested. The arrest and entire cyberspace scenario hits a personal nerve with Stabler.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like a good episode. Why can't Laura Leighton ever play a decent human being lol...

Judge Donnelly goes easy? that in itself is enough reason to watch the episode. But it doesn't seem like an SVU case, does it?

you're right, finaddict. that's exactly what i was thinking. maybe because the teenagers are under-age that the party could somehow be considered neglect on the part of the parents or something? it's defintely a stretch, but it sounds like it would turn into an SVU case, though...
"...where they find the mother of one of the kids --Lillian Rice, in a compromising position and she is arrested..." that "compromising position" could bring about SVU depending on what it is, right?

Yeah I was thinking thats what could make it an SVU case myself. I have a hard time picturing Judge Donnelly going easy on anyone so that makes this an interesting episode for me. I love her. Judith Light has been on of my faves since WAY BACK WHEN..She was on the One Life To Life Soap for years..She was fantastic.

Sounds like a good one. I have not seen Laura Leighton in anything since Melrose! She hasn't been on any series as a main character, but she did some smaller roles. In Boston legal she played a "crazy lesbian who is suspected of killing her ex girlfriend " (imdbboard) and well yeah the memory of Sydney is just hard to erase
