I think I can say that I'm 16 now, only two days! ;D
By the way, just so you guys know, if you can't see another member's age it is not a glitch; members can set their birthday to be invisible.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.. YOU DO A GREAT JOB AS MODERATOR. Back in the late 90's early 2000's I moderated a Forum debating politcal issues..and I know what a pain it can be sometimes..

I hear you. This is relatively easy, being admin of this forum, compared to being a mod at some other forums. I had to stop being a mod over at Look Again because I simply didn't have the time for the pace at that board, AND this one.
But, before that, I had started a thread about the 2004 election... and it got QUITE ugly... that is definitely one of the hardest things to moderate.

Over at Laughing City (I'm not a mod but it was clear they were all ticked about it) there have been a religious debate thread, political debates, and then an internet troll came...

My you must have had some time moderating that thread about the 2004 election..I have never ever seen such bitterness in my life as both the 2000 & 2004 election and I have been voting for years and years. My hat goes off to you for surviving that one. One of my moderating duties in the political forum was the Israeli/Palestinian crisis. Now that got so bad I quit after being threatened online repeatedly and being sent threatening e-mails. I have never gone back to moderating since that occurred..

There are many people on message boards who are dangerous. My moderating days are over. I didnt enjoy being threatened. It got way out of hand. In 2004 an Egyptian man debating on the AOL message boards was murdered along with his wife and 2 kids it was ruled a robbery but i cant help but think it was about his moderating.

This board is easy. I don't know about TruBlu, but all I've really had to do is close some people's tags, fix coding blips, correct grammar when it gets REALLY bad and help Trublu with the members deal.

This is a very friendly place. We all have a common interest and that helps. Debating politics and religion gets ugly quick.
