Well once upon a time I was a foster mother who took in sexually abused children. I had little or no dealings with the police who investigated. I just dealt with social workers and the DA and the Judge. Back in October of 1999 my daughter called me and said she had just watched the new Law and Order Spin off-- SVU and she thought I would be interested in the police investigation of the cases that were very similar to the cases that ended up on our doorstep for 11 years. I watched when I wasnt working, SVU debuted on Friday nights back in the day, I have been hooked every since.

As of February 16 this coming year, I will have watched SVU for a full year. My first premiere episode was Manhunt and it had Munch and Fin in it as the primaries. There was nothing else on TV and I've heard that it was just as good as the mothership, so I watched it. AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT! ;D I began to research everything about Munch and Fin (and Belzer and Ice-T too) and began to watch SVU every night, only to my dissapointment that they only had limited show time. But I was neverless impressed by the show as a whole; the plots, the storyline, the adrenaline, it was just awesome. But like they say, you'll never forget your first, and even though Benson and Stabler make a great team, Munch and Fin bring something more to this show. Wit, Humor, Banter, and Conspiracy Theories. ;D

Wit, Humor, Banter, and Conspiracy Theories. ;D I remember Richard Belzer when he was a stand-up comic. He's great and as for Ice-T, I have a son (now in his mid 30's) and 4 nephews ages 23-17 so I have heard every thing Ice-T has recorded from 1987 on up (whether I wanted to or not..lol..)including his controversial song "Cop Killer" recorded with his heavy metal group "Body Count" and seen most of his movies and read his book. Both these guys are class acts and should get more airtime. My nephews introduced the show to my sister and brother when they heard Ice-T was joining the cast. Now my sister and brother are fans..Addicts actually. Its a family affair with SVU around here.

I met a girl on a ER message board who I added to my MSN list and she told me she enjoyed this show. I had only seen one or two episodes with my mom but I knew who all the characters were and stuff. I decided to watch one of the reruns that they show on channel OMNI 2 here in toronto and the episode was 'Manhunt'. I was hooked by then.

Of the three "branches", I think SVU will be the longest running. Which means it has many seasons left before it catches up to the mothership. :rotfl:

[/IMG]
I was speechless as I watched it unfold. it in no way resembled SVU a trend that is disturbing..when was the last time Munch and Fin did a case? I know I a beating this issue to death I am good at that but I disappointed. They are missing out on alot with not utilizing Munch..He carried that show in 1999 when no one knew who Benson and Stabler were..what a slap in the face IMO.. :hammer: :hammer:
Thank goodness I have the Sleuth Channel and the Homicide DVDs (it's always better to watch it on TV for some reason though) because if I'm not getting my daily dose of Munch, then I go crazy. You don't want to see me crazy. SVU needs to utilize all the characters and bring their full potentials out. They've got a little over 4 months left to do that. They better start doing it quick.
