Well the first episode that I remember seeing on tv was "Loss" and I only saw the last five minutes of it! The intensity there was enough get my attention! But at that time SVU was not very well know (less than know at least, and it says a lot I can tell you!) it was mostly a show used to fill in the gaps of the programation grid during summer or a break between two seasons of a more polpular show. So I saw a few episodes after that and then poof it went away. But still at the back of my mind I couldn't shake the feeling that this was a great show and that I would love to see more of it. Afterwards it went on and off programation and I tried to follow. It's only now since last year that I got reacquainted with it. Now it's airing on a regular schedule even though they recently changed the day. What got me interested in the show in opposition to all the other law dramas, was the dynamic of a team of dedicated detectives and lawyers that were not only kick ass cops/attorneys but also very human! They are not perfect but they give everything they have to protect the innocent and to dispense justice. I think it's very courageous too for a show to be centered on "sex crimes" and to treat the subject with such a direct and delicate way!! well said Hotcop and your synopsis of why you are interested in the show above all others is the reason for the shows success..

Wolf then purposely I am told moved it to the old Homicide friday night at 10 slot and it picked up speed. Watched an epi over the weekend(bad with epi names)about the Serbian guy named Stefan Tanzic that was killed..it was a whole lot of Munch and Cragen also out in the squad room with his dets. going over the case. oh for more of that now.

Oh that's interesting I didn' know that they had to change the schedule so that the rating could go up!! I'm really bad with names too don't worry...(I'm much better with numbers)...but I remember that epi! Oh yes if only!!! More more more we want more of the basics!!! :hammer:
