Good evening everyone, Hey, it's the Byrdman coming at you today. I hope hat everyone is doing well, and that you are all ready for another great week coming up. I know I am! Yes, I know I posted this question on the Cold Case board (as Trublu probably remembers). But I was just curious as to how this board got started. This might be a question for Trublu, but I have seen the queequeg is a moderator on a couple of the sections of the board. If you girls would not mind to post your thoughts behind the start of this board, it would be most appreciated. Thanks again, girls! Also, anyone who reads this and would like to post their stories on why they joined, please feel welcome. I will certainly be interested. Thank you for your attention, and I will look forward to hearing from you soon. Take care, and have a wonderful week, everyone!

Well, as the admin/creator of this particular board, i suppose i could offer some insight to this ;D I dont know if anyone else shares my reasons, but for me, this is it. I wanted a place where I could talk about L&O:SVU. A place where people would be as willing to talk about the show as I was. Because, and be honest, how many people in YOUR house like to talk about the show all the time? Whenever i even MENTION it in my house, it suddenly becomes a no-talk topic. Its like "wow, did she mention that show AGAIN?" Here, SVU is what its all about. No one gets frusterated when we talk about it because, well, that's what we're here for! I also wanted a place where people could share their opinions and their work (fanfiction, etc.) without having to worry about other people starting arguements with them over it. This fandom is infamous for having people criticize writers for how they write, who they write about, what pairing they choose, what their plot is all about. (Or if it is a PWP, which i do enjoy. COUGH getting back to my response ) I am a huge fan of the first amendment, so when someone starts getting on someone else's back when they voice their opinions, it gets on my nerves. I belong to too many groups already where this happens. It is all fun for a while, but then an argument pops up (not a debate, which i enjoy) but a virtual punch throwing argument. In some groups, i just flat out quit because it was all compiled of arguments and spamming (which i dont like either). As you all know, there is nothing of the sort allowed here. There is no perfect place, but we can try, right?
