A famous astronaut is found dead, and detective Elliot Stabler's (Christopher Meloni) old mentor, Dick Finley (guest star James Brolin), helps investigate the case.

Well it has to get better right? BUT I strongly dislike James Brolin so this could sway my opinion.

And the episodes are finally getting better!! Finally Fin and Munch are involved!!! And Warner, Huang and Cragen too! Yes!!!!!! Huang giving Munch all those strange looks, lol what is all that about??!! And I am also glad that Kim wasn't in the episode! ;D! That was a interesting twist at the end with Mr Finley but the best bit was the punch up between El and him. Liv however, looked stunning after she got out of the taxi ready for her date. My only problem was last week it was about Kathleen, this week, Elliot's son, Dickie, was there - I know it was only because Elliot wanted to introduce he's son to the man he's named after but come on!! And that little conversation between Dickie and Elliot when they got home about Elliot 'knockin up mom' before he and Kathy were married. More insight into Elliots life I don't think we wanted to know. So let me guess, next week either: Elizabeth, or El Jr or Maureen will be in it?? Right??? So we can learn even more about El's personal life. I think they should focus more on the crimes, less on the personal life's of the Detectives. But hey, that's just my opinion. I can't wait till next week's episode

We really need to find Liv a good man! First it's reporters that keep screwing with her and now Mr. Buzz Light Year is a big baddie. Remeber that blond doctor guy? I forgot his name, but he is in a handfull of episodes...he seems decent enough...

If info involves future episodes feel free to share in the spoiler section not here. Not all want to know. ;D.... And oowsvu, for a second I thought it was Liv too!!! I was thinking "damn, what are you doing with that man???", luckily however, it was the other chick NOT Liv

More insight into Elliots life I don't think we wanted to know. Haha, I must agree with you - plus I believe that we already knew that detail about El and Kathy; he's said it once before in the show, but like way back in season 3 or something. And you know, I thought this episode was okay. I've gotta tell you that at first when El walked in on James Brolin and that chick, I thought it was Liv and I like had a mini-heart attack, haha. Thennnnn, I've gotta say the performance by Chris Meloni when he was talking to James Brolin was pretty intense and awesome. He's such a good actor and I was proud of that scene. Haha At the end, I was like oh dang when El was stuffing Brolin in the back of the cop car and Liv got out of her cab - 1. Because she looked beautiful! and 2. Because in my perfect world, which I was praying the writers would do, I was thinking that some other police people would take Brolin away and Liv would already be ready to go on a date thing you know and so her and El would go out to dinner. I swear I was soo getting the vibe that was going to happen! But noooo Darn. Haha, well I can still picture that in my head. ANYWAYS, I thought the whole Brolin/Liv thing was just kind of thrown in there and stupid. I mean, really, think about it. Brolin was El's mentor, so he's gotta be atleast 10-15 years older? Then he asks Liv on a date, and I was like ew, ew, nooo. And you could tell Liv was put in an awkward spot because then she pulls the "well should I see if Elliot wants to join us?" card, and yeah the whole thing was just awkward and weird. The episode was OKAY. In my personal opinion, last week's was way better. Next week's looks okay. Well there's my long opinion for you guys. Sorry ;D

I liked this episode much better than last weeks. I don't know if it was just me but I guessed way too early it was Finley. Was that impression given off early? I don't know. Didn't mind the insight into El's life, something I have always enjoyed with the show (the backgrounds) and it wasn't too much in my opinion. I enjoyed it! But I think it would have been funnier if it was Liv in the room.

We must have watched the show too long so we know who dun it. LOL.

Didn't mind the insight into El's life, something I have always enjoyed with the show (the backgrounds) and it wasn't too much in my opinion. I enjoyed it! But I think it would have been funnier if it was Liv in the room. I guessed from the episode description that it was "Elliot's mentor". If it has anything to do with Elliot these days, dead giveaway. Just kidding. But, having an old Marine buddy help out in a police investigation? Now that's a dead giveaway. They made concessions for him that they would never make for anyone else. And everything was way too convenient. That said, this episode was at least a little better than last week's. Though, I am kind of disgruntled at the lack of connection lately between the rape part of the cases and the murder part. It seems like in the majority of the episodes, the rape turns out to be something entirely different from the murder, and it only makes it half an SVU case. That's kinda bothersome. At least we did see a bit more of the ensemble cast this week, but no Kim. Let's get this straight: we need everyone together in order for this to work.
