well that is good. Now maybe people will stop being critical of what they earn. Actually, I think their salaries can be justified. Benson and Stabler pretty much make up the faces for SVU, and helps make the product popular, thus making it possible to make a profit. Chris Meloni and MH have usually been marketed as the main characters of the show, to some viewer's dismay, and in some way helped turn SVU into the popular show it is. If they were to suddenly say they wanted out unless they get higher salaries, they have a pretty good bargaining chip for just being themselves and the people we know as the faces of the show we love. Just imagine the loss of interest (and thus money) if they were to ditch season 11.

It really irritates me when people say Mariska & Chris make too much money when other actors make just as much or more. Kiefer Sutherland makes 550K and Charlie Sheen 875K. Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross , Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria Parker & Hugh Laurie also make 400K and Marge Helgenberger is not far behind at 390K.Even the actors who voice the characters on the Simpsons earn 400K! ( Dan Castellaneta, Yeardley Smith, Julie Kavner, & Nancy Cartwright).
Charlie Sheen's earnings include his ownership stake in the series. Sutherland earns 1 million if you include his stake in the production of 24.

New Production blog update 9/23/09 www.nbc.com/Law_and_Order_Special_Victims_Unit/production-blog/By NBC Community Team on September 23, 2009 4:54 PM Hello, Just wanted to check in quick. Our 2-week summer hiatus is over and we've started shooting episode #5. What's special about this episode??? IT'S THE RETURN OF STEPHANIE MARCH! So all of who feared it'd be a while before she came back, fear not. We are also prepping to shoot two episodes at the same time; this is called shooting in tandem. It pretty much doubles a lot of folks' work, but we get two episodes done in the same amount of time it would normally take us to shoot one episode. This is good for all of you, because we can air more episodes earlier in the season. The premiere of Season 11 is right around the corner and currently SVU will be airing new episodes for 9 consecutive Wednesdays! That's 9/23 through 11/18!!! So needless to say it's been pretty busy over here, but I promise to leave less time between posts once we finish with the tandems. In the mean time hit me up with some questions! To respond to what seems like the most recent question: Will Captain Harris ever return? Nothing is impossible. Harris was a great character and we always like having great characters come back. On that note, make sure to tune in on 10/28 (Ep. #6) to see one of our other great guest characters return.......

I wonder who it is..racking my brain. lol. Well, I know who it is and you don't like him. Hint: He appeared in 3 episodes in Season 8 and 1 in Season 9. New Production Blog Sept. 30th. Not much new but some new pics of sets. www.nbc.com/Law_and_Order_Special_Victims_Unit/production-blog/hey-everyone-2/By NBC Community Team on September 30, 2009 10:40 AM Hope you all caught the season premiere last Wednesday. Did you like it? Wentworth Miller and Christine Lahti were both amazing people to work with. Both of their characters are very hard edge and you either love them, or love to hate them. I personally think they are wonderful! We are glad to have Christine for at least 3 more episodes (wink, wink). And who knows, perhaps we will see Wentworth again (wink, wink). We are just about to wrap up filming in tandem, so things are coming back down to earth again here. I snapped a few shots of some of the sets we built here at the stages for your viewing pleasure: 3 pics follow

Hmmm...that third pic looks like it could be either Alex Cabots place or maybe Sonya Paxton's. Too expensive for Olivia...unless she's roomies with a particular blonde
